FINAL BUNGLES ON BENGHAZI: The Washington Post explains the scam!

MONDAY, OCTOBER 22, 2012

Right at the top of page one: We’ve written about the scam every day for the past week.

That said, the scam has been underway since mid-September. This morning, the Washington Post explains the scam right at the top of page one.

Anne Gearan has been part of the scam, as we showed you last Tuesday. These are the headlines from the hard-copy Post and Gearan’s opening paragraphs:
GEARAN (10/22/12): Suddenly, close race on foreign policy / Romney goes into final debate having narrowed Obama’s clear edge

It sounded weeks ago like a mismatch.

The final presidential debate would focus on foreign policy—a sitting president who’d overseen the death of Osama bin Laden pitted against a one-term governor, so new to diplomatic thinking that he’d managed to offend a good chunk of Britain during a brief trip this summer.

Monday night’s debate doesn’t look like a mismatch anymore.

Instead, when President Obama meets Republican challenger Mitt Romney in Boca Raton, Fla., he will face an opponent who has already made up tremendous ground on the subject by criticizing Obama as weak, waffling and distracted by his reelection goals.
That is exactly what the scam has been about all along.

There are many agendas within the organs of our “mainstream press corps.” That said, everyone has agreed to this scam, including the children who serve us our comfort food each night on The One True Liberal Channel.

How will Romney play Benghazi tonight? We have no idea. Just be thankful he bungled the subject so badly in the town hall debate.

(Obama had completely avoided the question he got on this topic. You can tell his answer was bad; Gail Collins said it was great!)

That said, the mainstream press corps has worked very hard to create a friendly playing field for Romney on this particular topic. As they did, Lawrence tried to get into a fight with Tagg. And he and Krystal assured us that Romney just isn’t really that funny.

We’ll offer one final post today, this time concerning the moderator.

  1. Well, obviously, I'd like to know how Gearan measures the "ground" Romney made up. My whole take on this whole kerfuffle is that the chattering class inside the Beltway is having a heck of a good time "debating" this, while most Americans rank Libya pretty much where they always ranked it on the list of issues that grab their concern.

And I think it was quite brilliant of Obama to ignore the whole thing and pound on Romney on the other dumb things he said, knowing full well a foreign policy debate was coming up.

    Please proceed, Governor.

    >>> the 'that” somerby refers to is the following, which he put in bold letters:

somerby: “Monday night’s debate doesn't look like a mismatch anymore.

    >>> that is ridiculous. you cant in your right mind equate cnn and msnbc. this is obvious (probably paid for) anti-msnbc propaganda and therefore indirectly against the dem party done under cover of being for rice and therefore for obama.

    1. Loving your new moniker! Truth in advertising and all that, right?

But, uh, you really MUST stick to your prescribed dosages lowercaseguy.

It's not your imaginary false equivalencies between CNN and MSNBC; not your paranoid fantasies of paid-agent 00Somerby working against MSNBC and therefore (!!) against Obama...

No, it's "the friendly playing field" for Romney that a "mainstream press corps has worked very hard to create" -- that's what the grown-ups are talking about now.

Did you have something to say about that? Are you sure it didn't happen? Is the bad old Somerby showing up in your dreamscape again, bothering you?

Get back on your f*&king meds!

    2. the con-man somerby i think at least knows better, but you are just a pathetic follower.

even if for the sake of the argument i were to concede that msnbc is taking a dive on this one particular issue regarding what rice said a month ago, that wouldnt justify the lumping of them in with the rest of the media as to their support or lack of support for pres. obama and the d party. they are miles ahead of the rest of the mainstream media in their support of the democratic party and pres. obama. this is basic.
