Noem, responding to the statement that LA is a city of immigrants, stated it is a city of criminals. The quote is in the link. And you say that what she is quoted as stating was “nothing like that”. In what world is stating that LA is a city of criminals not like stating LA is a city of criminals? Oh yeah, yours, in which a felon who pardoned the insurrectionists that injured 140 capitol police gets elected president, and pretends that he gives a shit about police being spat on.

Newsom posted pictures of troops sleeping on the ground. They deserve better. Some may be wondering if they will be asked to shoot fellow Americans, even people they know (these are California guard members). This is horrifying and potentially very dangerous whether Trump intends it as a stunt or not.
Trump announced "Mission Accomplished", concerning the troops he sent in, before they had even arrived, a flub apparently due to Trump largely kept out of the loop of the goings on in his own admin.

Cecilia, Like everything else, the immigration issue is complicated. both sides adopt views on it based on shallow understanding of the facts and the applicable laws. I don't claim to understand it all. On the one hand, there are laws against coming into the US without legal authority, yet there are apparently millions here who have done that. Not just Trump, but Obama, Biden and several other POTUSes have deported substantial numbers of "illegal" immigrants. On the other hand, there are various laws and court decisions that apply when it comes to removing undocumented immigrants, that provide an entitlement to some type of due process before they are shipped away. It's become a wedge issue. "blues" appear to want open borders, "reds" seem to be inhumane. Trump and his MAGA allies, fascist like, demonizes them, like they're subhuman. I could go on and on but will stop here.
