Brain cells under attack: Let's go with an easy one as we attempt to return to full services.
Last weekend, in her full interview with Abdul el-Sayed for Meet the Press, Kristen Welker journeyed down an extremely tired old road
Friends, let nip it in the bud! At the end of the 32-minute unedited session—this portion didn't actually air—Welker went with this:
WELKER: OK. Let's finish by talking about 2028 and looking ahead a little bit...
Uh-oh! People who own TV sets could already see it coming!
"Could we just get through 2026," El-Sayed helplessly asked.
Inevitably, the answer was going to be no. Welker soon went with this:
WELKER: Finally, last question. Do you think that America is ready for a Muslim president?
EL-SAYED: That's not a question I'm asking. I think Michigan is ready for a Muslim senator.
If only she'd ended the foofaw right there! But under eternal rule of the guild, this manifest foolishness followed:
WELKER (continuing directly): But do you think America is ready for a Muslim president?
EL-SAYED: That's irrelevant. I think Michigan is ready for a Muslim senator.
WELKER: OK. But you don’t rule out the possibility that—
EL-SAYED: I have no intention of ever running for president. That is not a thing I've ever wanted to do...
El-Sayed was forced to continue the ritual from there. We thought of all the years in which time-killing TV hosts tormented the late Bill Richardson with cloying questions of this familiar type.
Kristen Welker is smarter than this! But plainly, they can't help themselves. These pointless questions must be asked. It's one of the guild's oldest rules.

A journo asks a politician about his presidential ambitions. Outrageous! If you are a retarded Dumbocrat, that is.
Yawn.
Triggered, trumptard?
DeleteI'd vote for El-Sayed, I admire his tight athletic ass.
DeleteYea, I love that Trump came out as gay yesterday. Welcome to the club brother!
DeleteWhat else did she ask him?
ReplyDeleteWhy do Muslim men have unusually large peckers?
DeleteIf scientists could harness the power of the Right's jealousy of black men's dicks size, we'd have enough electricity to supply all the data centers in the world for decades on end.
Delete"Kristen Welker is smarter than this!"
ReplyDeleteThat has nothing to do with it, she sold her soul and ain't getting it back.
This is a free country with a free press. Journalists ask lots of questions. I don’t get Somerby’s beef.
ReplyDeleteI get Somerby's beef. It's about the tiresomeness of some journalists' questions...especially of the hypothetical type.
ReplyDelete"It's about the tiresomeness of some journalists' questions.."
DeleteYes, those who question Republicans.
Welker was not questioning a Republican.
DeleteRussia bombs American businesses in Ukraine, Trump does nothing.

Don't say he does nothing. He sucks Putin's cock in public every chance he gets and attacks Zelensky constrantly.
DeleteIn Trump's defense he's always been far too stupid to know when he's being set-up for blackmail until it's too late.
DeleteThe fucking art of the fucking deal.
Delete"It's a deal for the world ... It's not a deal with me," Trump told reporters on Tuesday morning, repeating that it was "not a USA deal."
"They're releasing it to the entire world," Trump added, after making similar comments on Monday that the deal would help US farmers, but said, "It's not really a deal with me, it's a deal for the rest of the world."
"Not every Republican voter is a bigot" is an opinion which isn't aging well.
