I'm from New Jersey ...Hello Every One Out Here
I'm from New Jersey USA. Getting back your husband after a divorce, break up. My husband and I have been through every top reason for divorce; financial struggles, bankruptcy, stressful jobs, becoming parents when we weren't ready (neither one of us would give our kids back just the amount of stress is overwhelming) we fought ALL the time over anything and everything. I threatened divorce all the time. One day after a fight I said I was done and filling. He told me he wasn't in love with me any more. After a day or two of cooling off I realized that divorce is not what I wanted. No, our marriage was not healthy but we had so much going against us an neither one of us were trying. I begged for him to forgive me and that I didn't mean it. He told me he loved me but wasn't in love with me any more. Those words hurt and I believed him. After a month or two he also backed out of the divorce and didn't want to leave me. We also saw THREE different couples counsellors who did not help us at all. (Maybe just bad luck) we still have our moments but not as bad as before. We BOTH read a book called "Love and Respect" i read a great testimony of him that he help many to fight against their divorce marriage and broken relationship so i email him straight ahead at solutionoflovespelltemple@hotmail.com and explain the fight between me and my husband, so he gave me assurance and guarantee that my husband will come back again and forgive me just 2 days after the spell. so that was how Dr. Ogbefi help me out on my divorce problem with my husband he is really good and real man of his words plz if you need any help like my, advise goes to Dr. Ogbefi at solutionoflovespelltemple@hotmail.com, call or And also Reach him on WhatsApp Number: +2349057915709 Thanks Dr. OgbefiMonica Smithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13647799699798293406noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8611810694571930415.post-20302559402140810732017-09-03T15:19:02.605-04:002017-09-03T15:19:02.605-04:00These days the two best places to start for free, ...These days the two best places to start for free, in my opinion, are episodes 2 through 16 here LINK (skipping episode 1) or rush it and start at episode 8

and

at July 2007 here LINK.

Comrade, you say? I’ll give it a go.

Cmike, you’ve given me a lot to read, thanks! The reason I asked about contemporary literature of the time is that I like to try to keep discussions somewhat relative to this site’s raison d’etre, not to mention my own curiosity of the subject.

And perhaps I was mistaken to mention Jesus as an example of historical record. As you suggest, there are real questions regarding the actual existence of Jesus, and I tend toward the belief that he never existed. Given that no written record seems to exists until decades after his supposed crucifixion, it makes more sense to me to view him as a fantastic conglomeration of the messianic, eschatological viewpoints that appeared in this period of history. Not that I have any real authority on the subject. I’m looking forward to examining those links!

Thanks again comrades,

Leroy
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8611810694571930415.post-62965183440096686312017-09-03T09:35:37.526-04:002017-09-03T09:35:37.526-04:00"Friedman's piece was the "most popu..."Friedman's piece was the "most popular" article among our tribe Over Here! I don't remember the source, and I'm too lazy to look it up right now, but many months ago I read a report that the median income of Trump voters is $70,000. Please note, that's well above the median income of all American families, and also half of Trump voters had incomes greater than $70,000. Many of those people probably spend some of their lavish incomes on the New York Times. Of course the Times doesn't want you to know that, so they find weird, racist, dumb people to interview and pretend THOSE are the people who elected Trump.Procopiushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17554355440319405363noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8611810694571930415.post-55123864810922340982017-09-02T06:20:49.596-04:002017-09-02T06:20:49.596-04:00In the matter of whether Rome crucified Jesus, mos...In the matter of whether Rome crucified Jesus, most of that story comes from the Gospels and none of it from a contemporaneous source. According to the New Testament accounts, it would seem that the Jewish client king of the Romans in Judea and the Jewish elders in Jerusalem were, shall we say, more responsible for the condemnation of Jesus than was the Roman governor on the scene.

This presumes, of course, that Jesus was an actual historical person. The closest thing to a contemporary verification that the holy man Jesus walked the earth is Paul's reference (Paul, himself, being indisputably an historical figure and chronicler) to having met Jesus's brother James in Jerusalem three years after Western Civilization's most iconic event had occurred.

To be fair to the Romans, they were highly tolerant of the local religions in the lands they conquered. That policy has been recognized as a key to the success of their empire project.

Of course, some people, or at least one people, could never by mollified. That's why you end up with a Masada LINK.

Here are two summaries of the contemporaneous, or nearly contemporaneous, historical literature for ancient Rome.

LINK
LINKCMikehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13481861530761114492noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8611810694571930415.post-22518845344758579882017-09-02T03:19:17.829-04:002017-09-02T03:19:17.829-04:00InterestingInterestingFamous Positive Quoteshttp://famouspositivequotes.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8611810694571930415.post-60245735607650385112017-09-02T02:58:48.691-04:002017-09-02T02:58:48.691-04:00Leroy, you may also want to save this text-block s...Leroy, you may also want to save this text-block someplace handy to copy-and-paste characters from....

Accents:
ÁĆÉÍĹŃÓŔŚÚŹáćéíĺńóŕśúź
ÀÈÌÒÙàèìòù ÄËÏÖÜŸäëïöüÿ
ÂĈÊĜĤÎĴÔŜÛŴŶâĉêĝĥîĵôŝûŵŷ
ÃĨÑÕŨãĩñõũ ÅŮåů Çç ŐŰőű
αβγδεζnηhθκλμξπρστφχψω ΓΔΘΛΞΠΣΦΨΩ
¿ ¡ € £ « » ß ° © ™ ®Ravenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17974090948640572660noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8611810694571930415.post-69728170774855841392017-09-02T00:41:58.971-04:002017-09-02T00:41:58.971-04:00Raven, thanks for the advice, much appreciated. It seems quite like using the keyboard to effect different Latin (such as Spanish) iterations.

Cmike, I checked out your first link, and what immediately stood out was the phrase “improve the life within the walls of the capitol city.” Loved the Python bit, but I really wonder to what extent those advancements affected the hoi paloi.

I remain a skeptic about the greatness of Rome (it did burn, after all), and your previously italicized paragraph increases that feeling, only because I'm in fact ignorant of the “real” history of Rome. I'm embarrased to ask this, but do we have actual records of Roman life that weren’t written by scholars? Do we have records of the journalists of the times? I mean, didn’t Rome crucify Jesus?

I’m skeptical of that story of course, more than any other I can think of, but it seems to have high pedigree.
