Make way for archers!

Politics, ducklings defer: A few years ago, MSNBC rebranded itself "The place for politics." Mountains of trivia followed.

A few hours ago, we clicked the famous channel on. This week, it seems to be the place for international archery, in which no one has any interest.

In this election year, it seems like a short-sighted corporate move. Such decisions frequently are.

We could of course be wrong. But would Fox have made this play?

    Really, Bob? You are now down to criticizing MSNBC for carrying some Olympic events for a couple of weeks in August along with the entire pantheon of cable stations in the NBC/Universal family?

    Do you also miss your Law & Order SVU reruns on USA?

      irishguy: Olympic events are not "politics"; USA is a network for entertainment, which would be more sensible for the Olympics.

      I get pissed off when True TV interrupts their live court coverage with the NCAA basketball tournament every year.

      I think it was a short sighted corporate decision that Bob Somerby was never showcased on the Tonight Show as a comedian. But NBC never cares about black children.
