Why derangement works: We had a brief moment of hope when we read this featured headline on today's front page at Slate:
"Does Trump Even Realize He's Done Anything Wrong?"
Good lord! It almost sounded like Dahlia Lithwick was going to consider the possibility that something is seriously wrong with Donald J. Trump in the general area of mental illness, mental health or cognitive ability. Maybe she'd even spoken to some competent specialist who had brought some specialized knowledge to bear on this general question.
Could Donald Trump be a "sociopath?" Do people so afflicted have the ability to know when they're doing something wrong, possibly something heinous?
We'd love to see an appropriate specialist discuss such obvious questions. Lithwick spoke to no such person, and the press corps never will.
At present, Trump is engaged in dangerous, deranged attacks on the still-anonymous whistle-blower. He's also making dangerous statements about Rep. Schiff. We wonder if a specialist could shed any light on such relentless behavior.
In our view, the press corps simply isn't sharp enough to tackle such a question. Then too, there are the three million ways they keep repeating, and reinforcing, the various Trump talking points.
At present, the talking points in question most directly affect Candidate Biden. As we've stated in the past, we regard him as a terrible candidate in a field of terrible candidates.
That said, the way the cable corps keeps giving wide berth to the president's points threatens Biden's candidacy with annihilation. It also helps us see how bogus claims about more competent candidates gained such wide berth in the past.
On cable, anchors constantly play tape of Trump making unfounded or blatantly bogus claims without explaining—preferably in advance of playing the tape or reading the tweet—that the statement in question is unfounded, bogus or false.
Beyond that, you can't make a statement like this without undermining the reach of the truth:
"Trump was asking the Ukrainian government to dig up information/dig up dirt on Biden."
Inevitably, that statement tends to imply that there actually is "information" to be dug up, and that Trump wants the Ukrainians to produce real "information"—actual information, information that's actually accurate.
In truth, it's highly likely that Trump has been hoping to push the Ukrainians to produce bogus claims about Biden. Pundits keep saying that Trump has been seeking "information" without articulating this less flattering possibility.
Unless Trump is in the grip of some type of psychiatric derangement, that possibility seems very strong. Our pundits don't seem to be up to the task of addressing either of these possibilities. Again and again, they repeat Trump's claims about Biden, then move quickly on.
In the article whose headline filled us with hope, Lithwick calls the current political situation "Stupid Watergate." As we read her disappointing effort, we glumly said this:
We've noticed!
"In truth, it's highly likely that Trump has been hoping to push the Ukrainians to produce bogus claims about Biden."
ReplyDeleteYou have gotta be kidding, dear Bob. This post is a UGE disappointment.
Your deranged zombie 'logic' is sooo hopelessly twisted.
If Donald The Spectacular is (by your lights) "making unfounded or blatantly bogus claims", why would he need the pathetic clowns in Kiev "to produce bogus claims about Biden"? What's the point?
And what "bogus claims", dear Bob? Creepy Joe admitted himself, publicly, that he used 1 billion of US taxpayers' dollars to blackmail the previous Kiev's clown into firing the country's chief prosecutor.
Who, completely incidentally of course (by your zombie lights), was investigating the company that paid Joe's junkie son $50K/month.
What "bogus claims" are needed here?
As someone said recently: replace 'Hunter Biden' with 'Donald Trump Jr' in this story - and your goebbelsian media would've exploded...
1. Biden was holding back the $1 billion as leverage because he was directed to do so by Obama, not on his own account.
Delete2. The EU and various other bodies were also calling for the removal of the prosecutor in question. It was not Biden's initiative.
3. The prosecutor who Biden wanted removed was not the one investigating Hunter Biden. That was done by his successor, who did investigate and found no wrongdoing by Burisma or Hunter Biden. That investigation was done after Biden left office, in 2017.
1-2-3: 3 dembot bogus claims. Fewer than usual.
DeleteCan you produce more?
See Kevin Drum's timeline, posted last week and already linked in comments a couple of days ago.
DeleteNot bogus, but trolls don't care about truth.
Yeah, right. Why in the world would I want to see some 'timeline' concocted by some dembot-hack? Would you, perhaps, also suggest that I should listen to what Mr Schiff had to say recently, dear dembot?
DeleteRhetorical questions, obviously.

Somerby doesn't understand what the phrase "give wide berth" means.
ReplyDeleteIt means: "Literally, give a wide berth is a phrase that dates back to the seventeenth century meaning to allow a large space between ships to enable optimum safety and maneuverability. Today, there is also a figurative meaning to the phrase give a wide berth, meaning to steer clear of someone or something"
Somerby uses it to mean the opposite. He says: "That said, the way the cable corps keeps giving wide berth to the president's points threatens Biden's candidacy with annihilation. It also helps us see how bogus claims about more competent candidates gained such wide berth in the past."
He seems to mean that the press keeps repeating Trump's dirt about Biden; they are not avoiding it. They are spreading the dirt along with the accusations against Trump. That's why Biden has asked the cable news shows to stop giving air time to Giuliani. That is the opposite of what giving something wide berth means.
You don't have to be in the grip of any psychiatric disorder to believe that you have done nothing wrong. Studies of those who believe in conspiracy theories and even beliefs such as alien abduction or infiltration, possession of spirit medium powers, have been found to be normal in other respects aside from their delusional beliefs.
ReplyDeleteMost people who do wrong have ways of justifying it to themselves that result in considerable distortion of reality. That is normal too. Trump's anger comes from his sense that he is being threatened, which is real. He is in political danger and his opponents are a threat to him.
Somerby's continual calls for a psychiatric justification of Trump's behavior are a way of excusing him from responsibility for his own choices and behavior. The law doesn't excuse him, so why should the press? Many Republicans think exactly like Trump. Unlike him, they are slower to break laws. That doesn't mean Trump is mentally ill. It means he is a criminal.
It has been reported that President Obama asked Ukraine if they had dirt on Trump. Hillary Clinton's campaign sought dirt on Trump from Russia. Do Obama and Hillary think they did anything wrong? Are they insane? Of course not.
ReplyDeleteBob (and many others) are making a mountain out of a molehill.
David is repeating Republican talking points and misinformation again.
Delete1. Hillary didn't do anything. Her campaign didn't fund the Steele investigation. It gave money to the DNC, who funded it themselves. The Steele investigation began with a Republican candidate and was conducted by an opposition research firm, which interviewed some Russians. No one contacted Putin and asked him to find dirt on Trump, especially not Clinton or Obama.
Who reports this stuff? Crazy conservative websites.
...oh, also: "still-anonymous whistle-blower".
ReplyDeleteDear Bob. How zombiefied do you have to be to not see the perfectly apparent PsyOP?
Your "still-anonymous whistle-blower" who heard stories from still-anonymous officials. Yeah, that's the ticket.
And the rules changed, so conveniently, to allow snitching entirely on hearsay - just for the occasion.
How stupid do have to be, dear Bob?
And the rules changed, so conveniently, to allow snitching entirely on hearsay - just for the occasion.
ReplyDeleteNope, Dittohead, find another bullshit talking point.
Hillary, dear, you're embarrassing yourself.
Deletehttps://thefederalist.com/2019/09/27/intel-community-secretly-gutted-requirement-of-first-hand-whistleblower-knowledge/
this link has image of both forms: the latest, August 2019 revision, and the pre-August 2019 one, with "the bolded heading “FIRST-HAND INFORMATION REQUIRED.”", followed by an explanation, including "If you think that wrongdoing took place, but can provide nothing more than second-hand or unsubstantiated assertions, IC IG will not be able to process the complaint or information for submission as an ICWPA"
Are you feeling okay, Hillary?
@Mao
DeleteWell, gee whillikers, Bozo. What difference does it make? The whistleblower’s info turns out to match THE READOUT ISSUED FROM THE WHITE HOUSE.
It’s fascinating watching the Trumpists squirm, grasping at straws.
******
DeleteFacts First: This is false. The Federalist reading of the form is inaccurate and although the submission form that whistleblowers from the intelligence community fill out was revised in August 2019, the revision did not change the rules on who can submit a whistleblower complaint.
Even so, pro-Trump pundits and lawmakers spread the theory on Twitter and TV over the weekend as evidence of some nefarious plot against Trump. Republican Rep. Jim Jordan of Ohio told Jake Tapper on "State of the Union" that whistleblowers no longer need firsthand knowledge because "they changed the form."
Tapper pushed back, fact-checking Jordan. "Experts say it has never been true that you need to have firsthand knowledge to be a whistleblower," Tapper said.
The theory hinges on the idea that the inspector general of the intelligence community recently changed the rules to allow individuals with secondhand knowledge of an event to submit a whistleblower complaint. This is wrong.
A previous version -- cited by the Federalist -- of the form that whistleblowers submit to alert the inspector general of the intelligence community of an "urgent concern" states that in order for the inspector general to determine that the concern is credible "the IC IG must be in possession of reliable, first-hand information."
This does not mean that the inspector general would reject a complaint if it presented only secondhand knowledge, but that firsthand information would be needed for the complaint to be found credible and passed further up the chain of command. The inspector general has 14 days from when the complaint is submitted to investigate and make a determination as to whether the urgent concern is credible.
***************
Bwahahaha!!!!! Dittohead, you got suckered once again. How do you say "sucker" in Russian?
Hillary, Hillary. What 'fact-checking' can make a normal human being read “FIRST-HAND INFORMATION REQUIRED” present on the form before August 2019 and removed in August 2019, and still continue listening to your word-salad and drivel?
Delete"The whistleblower’s info turns out to match THE READOUT ISSUED FROM THE WHITE HOUSE."
DeleteDembot. If you see the word "Biden" appearing 17 times (or whatever the number) in that 'readout', then you need to go get your head examined. In the unlikely case you have one.
This is why it is an exercise in futility trying to debate a Dittohead Trumpbot. Facts don't matter to them.
DeleteThen there’s also Trump’s and Giuliani’s own assertions that they were asking Ukraine to look into Biden’s corruption. There’s nothing like incriminating testimony from the crooks themselves.
Delete"Then there’s also Trump’s and Giuliani’s own assertions that they were asking Ukraine to look into Biden’s corruption."
DeleteYeah, dembot. Liberal zombie cult doesn't want anyone looking into Biden’s corruption. Or into the origins of the 'Russiagate' PsyOP.
Everyone knows that. What's your point, dembot?
Hopefully, everything will come out anyway. That's what draining the swamp is all about.
For the Right-wing, "draining the swamp" means putting grifters bin positions of political power.
Delete“almost sounded like Dahlia Lithwick was going to consider the possibility that something is seriously wrong with Donald J. Trump in the general area of mental illness, mental health or cognitive ability. Maybe she'd even spoken to some competent specialist who had brought some specialized knowledge to bear on this general question.”
ReplyDeleteOf course competent specialists could speak, in a general way, about mental health or cognitive issues. But, unless they have examined Trump in person, they cannot speak specifically to the question of Trump’s mental state.
Somerby isn’t sure:
“Could Donald Trump be a "sociopath?" Do people so afflicted have the ability to know when they're doing something wrong, possibly something heinous?”
But then, he says “In truth, it's highly likely that Trump has been hoping to push the Ukrainians to produce bogus claims about Biden.”
And “Unless Trump is in the grip of some type of psychiatric derangement, that possibility seems very strong.”
So, Somerby’s view is that Trump is either deranged, OR it is “highly likely” that he is deliberately asking for bogus information, which goes to the heart of his consciousness of guilt.
But why does Somerby pose this as an either/or in this way? The either/or is whether Trump knows what he is doing or not, period. The House, and incidentally many in the press, believe it is deliberate. Hence, the impeachment inquiry.
So, shorter Somerby: Either Trump knows what he is doing...or he doesn’t.
Makes you go hmmmm...Brilliant!
Has Somerby reviewed the reporting to determine whether the information Trump is seeking is bogus, and how the press is handling the Biden story?
ReplyDeleteDidn’t think so.
Here’s a detailed look at the whole Ukraine/Crowdstrike conspiracy theory:
ReplyDeletehttps://www.emptywheel.net/2019/09/29/some-of-where-trump-wants-to-go-with-the-server-in-ukraine-story/
It may help answer the question as to whether Trump knows what he is doing.
Answer: it’s a long-running and deliberate effort by Trump and cronies to produce bullshit conspiracy theories. Maybe, if Somerby cared to pay better attention to details, he might not ask clueless questions about Trump’s purposefulness.
“Could Donald Trump be a "sociopath?" Do people so afflicted have the ability to know when they're doing something wrong, possibly something heinous?”
ReplyDeleteSociopaths are convicted and sentenced to prison all the time. Our legal system clearly distinguishes between insanity as a defense, and a perpetrator being mentally incompetent to stand trial. Being a sociopath actually implies the knowledge of right and wrong, truth and fiction.
Somerby could answer his own question by a simple internet search.
Wouldn’t a competent Trump defender say that Trump did what he did deliberately, but he didn’t know or think it was wrong?
ReplyDeleteSomehow, the “insanity” defense doesn’t seem likely for Republicans to pursue.
Come on, guys. Somerby is just saying that Trump might be deranged and not know what he is doing, so keep that in mind when you demand his impeachment.
ReplyDelete“In truth, it's highly likely that Trump has been hoping to push the Ukrainians to produce bogus claims about Biden.”
ReplyDeleteThe word is “extort”, not “push”.
That's what Biden did, not Trump.
DeleteExtortion is the crime of obtaining someone’s property through threats. The money goes from the extorted to the extortioner. In the case of the Ukraine, the money flowed the other way. US officials (first Biden with loan guarantees, then Trump with military aid) threatened to withhold money unless the Ukraine complied with a US demand. The money belonged to the US, which is free to demand whatever conditions it wanted for payment.
DeleteYou can reasonably call this a strong-arm tactic that we shouldn’t use against allies, but we do it all the time.
The question is whether it was a legitimate demand that could have held up the money (in Biden’s case) and that actually did hold up the money for a short while (in Trump’s).
In Biden’s case, he was following administration policy in forcing Ukraine to address corruption by getting rid of a prosecutor, one Viktor Shokin, who was himself almost universally considered corrupt. In spite of feral Trumpers running around screaming that the prosecutor was dismissed to stop him from investigating Biden’s son, in fact, no such investigation was ongoing.
In Trump’s case, he was following his own interests in trying to force Ukraine to find non-existent dirt on a private citizen who happened to be the son of a political rival.
I left a comment here the other day, to a post where Somerby claimed the right-wing media was bringing up not-crazy insinuations about Hunter Biden, and that liberals weren’t seeing these so-called valid points being addressed. Literally the day before Somerby’s post, there was a story by Kenneth Vogel in the Times that dealt with exactly that. I did not suggest that Vogel’s story was good; as a matter of fact, it seemed to be biased with insinuations against the Bidens. Vogel has had other stories about Biden/Ukraine. Where is Somerby’s review of these?
ReplyDeleteAt the moment, liberals, like the idiots on this site, are the most propagandized group in the country. Constantly being played for fools by their leaders.
ReplyDeleteDid you idiots see this? How your leaders played you? Did you get all excited when daily Kos told you Warren was surging in the polls?
Well, the people that conducted the poll are establishment Democrat operatives who don't publish their methodology! And when David Axelrod excitedly retweeted the news about the poll and Warren surging he forgot to tell you that the people who conducted the poll employ his son!
https://thekalinga.in/2019/09/20/manufatucturing-consent/
Oh no. David Axelrod’s son works for a polling firm that David Axelrod tweeted about. The horror. Arrest them for treason!!! Where WILL liberals go for other polling besides David Axelrod’s son’s firm. HE IS OUR PRIME LEADER. It’s a mystery.
DeleteWhat a doofus, 10:16.
Tell me this is a parody of a right wing talking point.
See, you're an idiot who can only respond with sarcasm. You're a moron. It's not your fault. But they do rely on your laziness and low intellect. And especially on your inability to see beyond tribal divisions.
DeleteNo, no. I’m really quite concerned about this troubling revelation. I will never again blindly trust David Axelrod. Very depressing.
DeleteYou can see how deeply you guys are propagandized by your idiotic belief that Russia influenced the 2016 election. It's sad really.
DeleteYour response is pathetic and sad but totally in keeping with your propagandized yet smug cohort. It's really wild! You guys will take many more beatings until you realize how they con you.
I give you a perfect example with sources and all you can respond with his flip sarcasm. Pathetic but not surprising.
Did you idiots see this? How your leaders played you? Did you get all excited when daily Kos told you Warren was surging in the polls?
DeleteI haven’t been a regular reader of the DailyKos in years, but a brief trip over there leads me to believe that things haven’t changed much. The site doesn’t dictate anything; it’s filled to the brim with a diverse group of savvy political obsessives on the left of the political spectrum. They are the least likely people to swallow a rigged poll, especially one not graded by fivethirtyeight.
Your link takes me to a website run by some guy from Bangalore, India. The article you cite is the only one in the category “Politics,” and it complains about a poll published by an organization called Focus on Rural America and conducted by David Binder Research. The main complaint seems to be that “establishment Democrats” are being mean to Bernie. Again.
FORA was started by Patty Judge, a Democrat who served in the Iowa State Senate, as the Lt Gov of Iowa (2007-2011), and as Iowa’s Secretary of Agriculture (1999-2007). She ran for Senate against Charles Grassley in 2016 and lost. Does that make her an anti-Sanders “establishment Democrat”? Who knows?
In any case, searches on DailyKos for both FORA and DBR turn up empty.
A search on DKos for “warren surges” turns up two diaries (member contributions). The first is “Elizabeth Warren surges ahead of Biden, Sanders in California primary poll” Diary on 9/25 by Walter Einenke, which discusses a poll from UC Berkeley Institute of Governmental Studies
This garners its share of comments. KJB Oregon says, “The last poll has Biden up by five in New York, but as multiple people have said, it’s early. … As much as a lot of people here want Joe to just magically disappear so we can make Warren our god, that’s not going to happen.
J Ash Bowie comments, “In that same time frame and with similar sample sizes, Emerson College (B+) and SurveyUSA (A) had Biden up in California by 6 and 11 points respectively.
The second diary by modesttraveller (also 9/25) is titled “Warren surges in national Quinnipiac and Emerson polls. +8% in both, Biden slips. Also good CA poll,” which leads dvinsk07 to counter, “You Warren people want to talk polls,OK,here are a few that came out today: Georgia/Landmark Communications-Biden 41, Warren 17, Sanders 8, Harris 6, Buttigieg 5.”
There’s simply no way to get a lock-step opinion from DailyKos. Perhaps you’re a Bernie Bro outraged at reports that your boy is down in some poll. Perhaps you’re a feral Trumper. You do use Democrat as a modifier (“Democrat operatives”), and you do assume that progressive sites dictate progressive opinions, which could be classic right-wing projection.
I give you a perfect example with sources….
No, you gave an example with no sources from a site with no provenance.
It's mentioned here on Daily Kos.
Deletehttps://m.dailykos.com/stories/2019/7/3/1869221/-New-Iowa-poll-suggests-a-three-way-toss-up-between-Warren-Harris-and-Biden
Hey if you read the article and don't think there are any sources or if it is irrelevant or biased in some way be my guest.
It clearly shows you how Democrat elites manufacture consent.
Just don't say nobody ever told you when you are finally forced to take your head out of your ass.
"main complaint seems to be that “establishment Democrats” are being mean to Bernie. Again."
DeleteNo, that is not the main complaint or anything resembling it. I'm sorry I cannot converse further with an idiot who would draw such an obtuse and immature conclusion. You people get what you deserve.
It's just interesting how Democrats think they are the smartest but are the last people to understand how the establishment is fucking them. They still actually believe that their leaders have their interests in mind. They buy the whole show. Russiagate and impeachment. They don't understand how the CIA has ingratiating themselves with MSNBC and how they are playing MSNBC and their viewers for fools by pushing their own agenda. You guys are the last wall to be broken. Upper class white liberals and the Daily Kos rubes that have fallen in with them. In that way a lot of you idiots here are really important. The whole country is waiting for you to get it. You are being propagandized by elites. The aforementioned link is proof with sources. but there's evidence everywhere. The signs are all around. It's really up to you guys. Look around your world. Do you like what you see? Do you really believe what that politician is saying? Think about it please.
Delete"You can see how deeply you guys are propagandized by your idiotic belief that Russia influenced the 2016 election. It's sad really."
DeleteThis is what happens when the media is too afraid to point out that it was Trump's bigotry which turned on the electorate.
The corporations which run the media are trying to sell this convoluted Russia "scandal" because pointing out Trump voters love his bigotry might hurt the feee fees of the Right-wing.
DeleteThe media have to run with the Russia story, because pointing out Right-wing bigotry isn't PC.
DeleteIf Democrats were truly a vital party that really contributed to people's lives, Donald Trump would not have stood a chance. His victory in 2016 was a clear signal that the Democrat party is a failure. That doesn't make you a bad person or make Trump and Republicans good people. They are still bad people and you are still a good person. But you have overlooked that your party is broken and they have use propaganda to convince you it is not. The propaganda focuses attention away from the Democratic party and on to other things. One day you will realize that establishment Democrats are also the problem and that will need to be fixed. You're going to have to clean up your own house sooner or later. That's all. We will all be waiting.
DeleteAnd remember yes, it's true. You are still the smart, good people. You are the cool kids. The others are dumb racist. The others are bad. That is all true. You guys are smart and cool. That doesn't change. That will still be true. It's just that you will join the rest of the country in understanding how both parties play us.
I already know the Democratic Party needs to be fixed, but I also know the Republican Party needs to be buried under 60 feet of cement and steel.
DeleteBTW, do you wonder why Wall Street Democrats are saying they'll revolt if Warren is the nominee?
12:25,
DeleteGot it.
Elizabeth Warren = Donald J. Trump.
Thanks for all you do.
"Wall Street Democrats are saying they'll revolt if Warren is the nominee?"
DeleteSource please!!!!
Democrats: endless war, healthcare prices out of control, outrageous military budgets, new gilded age, record suicides in America, fake jobs reports etc. etc.
DeleteDonald J. Trump: endless war, healthcare prices out of control, outrageous military budgets, new gilded age, record suicides in America, fake jobs reports etc. etc.
It's the same shit man.
"Wall Street Democrats are saying they'll revolt if Warren is the nominee?"
DeleteFound some info upon which I am assuming you made that claim.
So Warren is the answer? Get Warren in there? Is that even possible? Can she beat Trump? I doubt she can but it is possible. I'll have to research her further. Will Warren really make all of our lives better? Will the military industrial complex march on with her as president? Will she really get something done about healthcare or will it be like Obama? excuses. It's not our fault. Congress wasn't willing to bargain.
DeleteIs it going to be that all over again? Kicking the can down the road with lesser evilism? Divide and rule? The party goes on? Elites screwing everyone while everyone bicker amongst themselves about how racist and stupid they are?
With Warren, will it be that two tribes thing again? Again? For the fifth decade in a row? Is that the answer? Is that what we want?
What if we had some sort of uprising? Some sort of horizontal uprising that included the racist bigots? That included all of us? Those horrible idiot scumbags out in the country sticks and we, the cool and smart chosen ones? What if we somehow bonded together and made a coalition, that used our power to fight the elites in the 1% and worked together coalesced together, to make real changes?
or do you think Warren is the one to make the real changes? Do you think that she can create a coalition of that sort?
The most important thing to remember is that you are good. You are right most of the time. You are ahead of your time. You have great taste. You are a winner.
DeleteThe others, not as much as you. Actually, they are bad.
But it's interesting to think in terms of coalitions. Coalitions are going to be the ultimate answer. We're going to have to coalesce with those goddamn bad taste racists. Unfortunately, that's the only way to really effect change and win.
Thanks for the link, whichever Anonymous you are. My search only went back a week. I should have gone back further, but I wouldn’t have gone back three months. The diary is so old that it’s nothing anyone would care about. And again, the comments are the usual combination of cheering and skepticism
DeleteI said that the main complaint seems to be that Democrats are being unfair to Bernie. You say,
No, that is not the main complaint or anything resembling it.
Let’s look at the article. Here’s its title:
Manufacturing Consent — How Democratic operatives are undermining Bernie Sanders 2020 candidacy
There are nine mentions of Sanders in the article. Here are a few quotes:
Specifically, they [“Democratic insider”] are trying to prop up the candidates of their choice — Joe Biden, Elizabeth Warren & Pete Buttigieg — while undermining Bernie Sander’s candidacy thru self-serving “poll”s
Also, polling pundits like Nate Silver have used this poll as a base to undermine Bernie’s popularity….
The people running FORA, according to the article include
An advisor, who in the past worked for primary opponent of Bernie….
A chairman, who praises Warren (another opponent of Bernie)….
(That last is Patty Judge.)
People apparently use the poll while undermining Bernie’s campaign.
Don’t tell me that the main complaint isn’t a long whine about how other Democrats are being unfair to someone running in their primaries who isn’t even in their party.
When I said your article is unsourced, I should have been more specific. Your article has no sources to support the idea that there are Democratic “elites” (as opposed to Democratic non-elites) who are out to “manufacture consent” — whatever that means — as opposed to supporters of candidates doing the usual thing to publicize their candidates’ chances.
Here’s my guess why DailyKos attracts your ire. As I recall, there are two things that Markos Moulitsas won’t tolerate on his site — conspiracy theories and progressives who refuse to support the eventual nominee. I expect those earned the ban hammer for a lot of Bernie Bros.
I don’t listen to MSNBC, I don’t believe anything any politician says without checking it, and I’m automatically skeptical of polls that aren’t transparent enough to earn a grade from 538. I also don’t take hysterics like you seriously.
Thanks for the response dead rat.
DeleteYou're welcome. Which Anonymous are you?
DeleteAnd my nym is one word.
The one that just fucked your sister, ignoramus.
Delete"We're going to have to coalesce with those goddamn bad taste racists. Unfortunately, that's the only way to really effect change and win."

Hunter Biden was obviously involved in grift. Bob unfortunately trusts the media.
ReplyDeleteBob hates the media. Have you read this blog before?
Delete“Cassandra fears four more years”
ReplyDeleteCassandra was telling Somerby of four more years for Trump on Monday, September 23, but apparently she failed to inform Somerby that impeachment was right around the corner when he mocked the notion that “impeachment is right around the corner again” on that same Monday. In fact, the impeachment inquiry was announced one day later.
Hello everyone out there, help me Thank Dr UGO! My name is MRS LINDA from Netherlands. I am here to give testimony on how I got my ex husband back, my husband left me for no reason 6 Months. He moved in with another woman, I felt like killing myself, my life became very bitter and sorrowful. Then 1 day, a friend of mine told me about a great spell caster that is very good and she said that he told her all about her life history and the problem she is facing, I didn't believe it because I've worked with so many of them and it didn't work. She begged me further so I decided to try this great spell caster called Great Dr UGO. I still didn't believe, but inside me I wanted to give a try and as God will have it, I used the spell solution he gave me and the next day I received a call from my darling husband Romero last month.
