Gutfeld returns to the Gutfeld! show!

There he goes again: Why was Michael Cohen sentenced to three years in prison?

We'll explore that question over the weekend. We just saw Nicolle Wallace tackle the topic again.

For today, we thought we'd show you one of the wonderful jokes with which Greg Gutfeld returned from his one-week vacation.

Last night, the termagant returned to his "cable news" program. Two minutes in, at 10:02, he "put a smile on your face" with this:

TERMAGANT (4/25/24): A kidney from a pig was transplanted into a deathly ill New Jersey woman and it began working almost instantly.

Scientists say the pig kidney felt quite at home in the new body.

Up flashed a photo of Joy Behar. The audience laughed and applauded.

("Never fails," the termagant said.)

For the termagant, this is a nightly behavior. He's put on the air by the Fox News Channel. Kat Timpf thinks this is grand.

The termagant is 59 years old. He comes from a sunny land.

No one says a word about this. As we surely know by now, MeToo came and briefly performed, and after that it went.

Coming: Why was Cohen sentenced to prison? Also, what Meacham said

  1. Rush Limbaugh did the same kind of joke back in the 90’s, only his target was Chelsea Clinton. Right wingers have been sickos for a long time. It isn’t everyone else’s fault. It’s theirs.

  2. I for one cannot wait to hear why Cohen was sentenced, as explained by Somerby, Esq.

Now, is it possible for the daily howler to summarize or quote from the prosecution’s opening statement in the current NY trial to try to understand their case? Wouldn’t that make the media criticism more, shall we say, accurate?

  4. The supreme court is making Donald Trump immune from prosecution.

    1. Unlikely, as that would rally voters against Trump almost as much as the SC's reversal of Roe.

The SC seems packed with Republicans, but maybe they are actually Dem plants, since the net outcome of their actions is to ensure fewer and fewer Republicans get elected.

    2. Yes @7:20, the SC is making Trump partially immune from prosecution. They're doing the same for other Presidents. You and I don't want a world where Biden and Obama are prosecuted for decisions they made as President.

    3. This isn't about "decisions" made by presidents. It is about crimes committed or laws broken by presidents. I don't want a world where any president is allowed to commit crimes and break the law with impunity (or immunity). Presidents are sworn to uphold the laws and the Constitution. I want them to do that.

    4. " You and I don't want a world....". You can stop there, as you are incapable of discerning what a sensible person judges fair and appropriate. I want a world in which presidents obey the law and are subject to the usual repercussions for not doing so. That is irrespective of party affiliation, although the administrations of one party historically have been overwhelmingly more frequently subject to indictments and guilty verdicts than the other. Need I specify which party that is?

We don't live in that fantasy world of your warped magat imagination, and we haven't needed these new rules Alito and his band of RW pissed off political hacks on the SC will be pulling out of their rectums for the last 230+ years, but now since you magats have blessed this country with a fucking corrupt lying bastard walking crime wave who has been dragging this country thru hell for the last four years because he fucking lost the election, we suddenly need new rules.

When trump was being impeached for the insurrection, his lawyers told the senate not to convict because he would be subject to criminal prosecution after he left office. Now the same lawyers tell the supreme court the only way to be subject to criminal prosecution would be if he were impeached and convicted by the senate.

    6. David, you are literally supporting a man whose lawyers just told the Supreme Court that assassinating a political rival or staging a coup could be considered "official acts" of the president. Go fuck yourself, your judgement is fucked up.

    7. You and I don't want to live in a country were the President can't audit Supreme Court members on a weekly basis.

  5. "Last night, the termagant returned to his "cable news" program."

Somerby continues to use a gendered insult to refer to Greg Gutfeld, who is male. This is insulting to Gutfeld, but also to women. It is a form of sexism to use an insult aimed at women to deride a man, as if there were something inherently insulting about being female.

termagant definition: "Termagant is an insulting name for a woman who likes to nag, scold, or complain. Termagant is an old-fashioned insult for a woman. A termagant is like a shrew (another old-fashioned term). "

There is no good reason for Somerby to be doing this in the first place, but he continues because he doesn't read his comments and perhaps doesn't know that he has the wrong word. Or perhaps he does know, and this is his way of annoying certain of his commenters (the ones who care about language and object to its abuse).

  6. Last time Somerby talked about Gutfeld as an abused child, he said he was 59. Now he seems to be 57. Which is it?
