Our Halloween edition: This being the day called Halloween, we bring you a picture of delight.
Yesterday morning, at 5:59 a.m. Eastern, just before Morning Joe started, Ali Vitali, hosting Way Too Early, described this holiday scene:
VITALI (10/30/26): And finally, some Halloween news to end our show.
President Trump kicked off the start of Halloween by welcoming families to the White House yesterday evening. The president and first lady Melania Trump handed out full-size chocolate bars to trick or treaters.
About six thousand people were on the South Lawn taking part in this annual event.
[...]
It was quite the way to kick off this holiday weekend.
Vitali's a good, decent person. If you watch the videotape of her brief report, you'll see boys and girls sporting some excellent Halloween costumes as they cadge those full-size candy bars.
For our money, the little girl presenting as the Barbie doll inside the Barbie box will be hard to beat this year for pleasure, joy, excitement and fun. For a still shot of this outstanding effort, go ahead—just click here.
There's a great deal more to be said at this time. But the ghosts and the goblins are all about, and Reds and Blues both enjoy this day, and so we'll just leave it right here.
Next Tuesday, spirits will be using us! The danger facing our struggling nation will motor ahead from there.
ReplyDeleteSo, you like the girl in the Barbie box. Okay, I guess.
Happy Halloween to you too, Bob.
I’d rather see her in a Cecelia box.
DeleteJust another endearing moment with the pedophile in chief.
DeleteI’d like to see Cecelia in a Barbie box.
DeleteSo Bob just ignores the girl in a Russian dress with the boy in a Russian tank commanders dress uniform. So transparently anti-democratic and pro Russia all the time. Fucking assholes.
Delete
DeleteAnti-Dumbocratic and pro-Russia is good.
The rate Putin is losing troops (nearly 2,000/day) he will be sending the little boy to fight in Ukraine next week. He won't have a tank to command though. Ukraine done blowed them all up.
DeleteYou retarded Dumbocrats have weird jerk-off fantasies.
DeleteI just want Uncle Vova to stop the war. Then, may Russia thrive in peace!
DeleteAlso too 2:40 Mao Jr., 2 fucking Russian subs don blown up, and back to demolishing Russian refineries last two days after Trump, Elon, and weasel fuck Jared fucked them.
DeleteAbdul El-Sayed is forty-two years old today. That’s right, he was born on Halloween.
ReplyDeleteHappy birthday!
DeleteWhich one did President Trump fondle though, with Melania watching?
ReplyDeleteAll of them Katie.
DeleteFondling is good, actually. Only the most annoying feminists are against it.
DeleteAnother lie.
DeleteNo. It’s my first lie. Up to now I’ve been good.
DeleteLiar.
DeleteNo, really. This is the first time I’ve stepped out of line.
DeleteTrump is not just a pedophile, he loves it so much he became a pedophile protector as well.
DeleteSomerby appears to have missed the point of the Barbie movie.
ReplyDeleteIt had a point?
DeleteWomen rule, men drool.
DeleteSeriously? Was it degenerate feminist propaganda? I’d been meaning to get around to watching it. Now, maybe not.

Delete"Somerby rarely passes up an opportunity to diss [Herwig]."
DeleteHere's what came up when I put "Herwig" into the Search box:
"No posts matching the query: Herwig."
In my experience, children don't find excitement and joy in their costumes but in the ritual sorting and swapping of preferred and less preferred candy with friends after the trick or treating.
DeleteNote the emphasis in the article about the full size candy bars being given out. Are we supposed to consider that generous coming from a billionaire? The value of those full size bars comes from the relative poverty of the kids and their parents, who would consider that an extravagance in the context of their own lives. We weren't allowed candy when we were kids, except for Halloween. Trump has never known deprivation, until now when judges are telling him he cannot do anything he wants with our nation's monuments.
I searched myself and found that I mistakenly spelled her name Herwig above, when her name is Greta Gerwig. I apologize. You will find Somerby dissing Gerwig on Feb 5, 2020. Somerby dissed Gerwig when her film Little Women came out. He spent days panning it because of changes to the ending.
DeleteI apologize for my confusing mistake. But you will see that I am not lying about Somerby's prior opinions about her film.
DG, you might have just corrected me instead of being snarky. At first, I thought it was Somerby who had misspelled the name, which caused some delay in recognizing my own error. It is better to be direct.
DeleteCorrected comment:
DeleteThe right found the film very upsetting. It was made by Greta Gerwig. Somerby rarely passes up an opportunity to diss her. It wasn't about little girls though, so perhaps Somerby didn't see it. The film made Greta Herwig the first solo female director to gross over a billion dollars.
DG wanted to imply that Somerby has never dissed Gerwig, a misleading comment trying to make @3:57 seem to be a liar when Somerby clearly has a hard-on for attacking Gerwig, based on the several posts about Little Women.
DeleteGross, indeed.
DeleteGerwig was in a Woody Allen film, To Rome with Love.
DeleteDid Allen fondle Gerwig? If not, why not? What kind of costume was she wearing?
Delete3:55 - Well, first if I'd realized it was a simple typo, I wouldn't have posted. I was not familiar enough with her work to know that her last name was "Gerwig" rather than "Herwig." So I apologize for that.
DeleteBut I will say that I read the 2/5/20 post, and what Somerby says is that he found her movie confusing because of all the time shifts. In my view, a six-year-old movie review hardly warrants the conclusion that "Somerby rarely passes up an opportunity to diss [Gerwig]."
4:08 - In my view, what is "gross" is 3:59's suggestion that Somerby is s pedophile.
DeleteWell, there is something about Somerby and little girls.
DeleteIs it a progressive value to casually and baselessly slime someone as a pedophile?
DeleteProgressive? Who’s progressive?
DeleteGerwig portrays the character of Jo (from Little Women) as an adult with agency, ambitions, a talent for writing and the aggressiveness to pursue her goals while helping her sisters. This kind of active adult woman is the opposite of the passive in pink child in that box costume, the girls who accept their social role as a good, never demanding, self-sacrificing and nurturing feminine ideal -- the kind that men like to defile and then order around to serve their needs, while keeping them dependent so they have no other options. Go read the manosphere sometime.
DeleteIt isn't just that Somerby goes into raptures over young teens, but that he dislikes strong adult women. Part of the pathology of pedophiles in general is that they are intimidated and thus hate the kind of women who won't stand for their grooming and abuse. As the Carly Simon song goes: "You don't like strong women 'cause they're hip to your tricks." The kind of men who prey on young girls avoid adult women because they cannot manipulate them as easily and because they are afraid of being criticized or laughed at, being found deficient as men. This is part of their hate for women, their misogyny.
It takes a couple of misogynist parents to dress up their kids that way. And a pedophile wanna-be to find that cute, much less imagine that the kids are having fun that way. But those guys think the kids they seduce like it, want them, are finding all that "pleasure, joy, excitement and fun" themselves while being abused.
Somerby has a history of defending men, particularly older men, with a fondness for young females, sometimes even underage females.
DeleteSomerby may be a pedophile. It may be a reasonable inference from his writings, but it may also be the case that Somerby is not a pedophile at all. It could be the case that Somerby is on a pedophile spectrum, and on one end of that spectrum or somewhere in the middle, or not on that spectrum at all.
Anything is possible.
As far as I can tell, no one is directly accusing Somerby of being a pedophile.
If you take the comments at face value, there is no direct accusation of Somerby being a pedophile.
Now, one could go beyond a literal reading of the comments to make a claim that Somerby being a pedophile is inferred.
But that would be kind of wild coming from someone who insists we only read Somerby in an excessively literal manner.
It may be that Somerby enjoys provoking his readers with ambiguous borderline pedophile-type remarks about young girls, so that he can laugh up his sleeve. It may be that he believes, like nazis and tech bros and various manosphere types that the age of consent should be lowered, women should be assigned as sex slaves to men (by the govt) and we should implement a Handmaid's Tale style dictatorship in which women breed white children and keep their mouths shut. Somerby's equally odd remarks about sexual politics in The Iliad being bred in the bone, condoning trading and owning women, is a sincerely held position, or another kind of chain-yanking jab at feminist women and wokeness.
DeleteWe don't know what is true because Somerby is both slippery and dishonest and does not wish to be authentic in what he writes here, just as he does not state his real political views, pretends to be liberal while advancing right wing talking points.
Ultimately, Somerby's real views don't matter to us. Whatever they are in real life, I am glad I don't know him in person and I wouldn't want to meet him, because my friends are among those who are not afraid to be who they are. They are willing to form relationships based on mutual respect, not the game playing Somerby indulges in here.
I do care about the results of the upcoming election. Somerby is not helping Democrats, so that puts him on the wrong side of the ledger for me. YMMV. The rest of what he writes is ongoing assholery.
Spot on.
Delete"As far as I can tell, no one is directly accusing Somerby of being a pedophile."
DeleteThis is your defense? That you're too chickenshit to say it directly, even when you're hiding behind anonymity?
Somerby is the one being coy.
DeleteStrong independent women don’t need me, and I don’t need them.
Delete"Somerby may be a pedophile. It may be a reasonable inference from his writings, but it may also be the case that Somerby is not a pedophile at all."
DeleteYou yourself may be a pedophile. It may be you're projecting your own pedophilia onto Somerby. This is a common psychological trait of pedophiles.
Or maybe you're not, we can't be sure. But you could be one. A pedophile.
Not funny.
DeleteSomerby's take on the movie Promising Young Woman was really thoughtful and interesting.
DeleteMaking women vigilantes is not holding men responsible for their bad behavior. It is more victim blaming.
DeleteHe made a good point that the movie is about how both men and women will avoid uncomfortable truths about sexual abuse if doing so threatens their social status. (e.g. Connie Britton character)
DeleteYes, women are the whole problem when it comes to maintaining rape culture and prosecuting rapes. Amirite?
DeleteToday’s odd post, finding something endearing about the kiddies in front of the pedophile, contrasts with this:
ReplyDelete“the New York Times still has not told readers of a new rape allegation against Donald Trump that was made public on Monday in a report the New York Times dishonestly dismissed on grounds that “it largely cites allegations that have already been public.” The word “largely” is doing an awful lot of work in that sentence, given that the report includes a new rape allegation.”
Read it here https://nomoremister.blogspot.com/2026/10/the-multi-front-war-to-delegitimize.html?m=1
The NY Times has some good reporters but it is owned and operated by right wing neoliberals, and because of that the NY Times is absolute garbage and the little crumbs they offer of decent reporting here and there does not ameliorate the mountain of garage it puts out.
DeleteSomerby thinks little girls dressed as flight attendants are cute.
ReplyDelete"the little girl presenting as the Barbie doll inside the Barbie box will be hard to beat this year for pleasure, joy, excitement and fun"
Wait until she figures out that it is very hard to use the bathroom in such a costume, that she cannot really participate much in whatever play the other kids are doing. Actual parents learn to create costumes that allow their kids unobstructed vision, freedom of movement, and access for bodily functions, including eating and drinking. Somerby is obviously not empathetic to the needs of the child within the costume.
But this is just a Republican stunt intended to "own" the feminists. What actual woman would want to be wrapped up and kept on a shelf, even figuratively?
I don't see where the actual pleasure fun, enjoyment and joy are to be found when walking around in that costume, even at Trump & Melania's pretend playhouse.
The over-the-top suggestion about pleasure is creepy because what is the fun of wearing a costume obviously manufactured by MAGA parents at a White House function? These are kids. Second, this sounds a bit like a call-out by Somerby to the kind of guys who find pictures of children fun for their own pleasure, enjoyment, even joy.
DeleteWhy does Somerby write sentences like that if he doesn't want readers to think he has ulterior motives? Even little girls don't have that much fun while playing with their own Barbie dolls.
Just wait till she has menarche in a costume like that.
DeleteAnonymouse 4:03pm, “pleasure, joy, excitement, and fun” precisely describes how kids feel when counting the days until Halloween. You can add “mischievousness” on the day of the holiday.
DeleteYou're such a skunk.
Agree.
DeleteCounting the days? Cecelia, you are buying into media portrayals of halloween. I supposed you think children have visions of sugarplums dancing in their heads before Christmas too.
DeleteSomerby likes to romanticize things. Why would parents drag their kids to a White House event that is purely for propaganda purposes when they could allow their kids to attend a neighborhood or family party where the kids are the focus and they would actually have fun?
Kids shouldn't be used as political pawns. Seeing Trump and phony baloney Melania grinning in a posed shot of three girls dressed alike in pink is nauseating in its manufactured cheer. Trump doesn't enjoy anything except sex and indulging his appetite for Big Macs and bullying and sensation-seeking activities such as UFC cage fights, airforce flyovers and watching people hit each other. None of that shows a capacity for enjoying someone simply like Halloween. When you throw in his leering perversion with young teens, the effect is worse. The two girls outside the Barbie box were just about the age when Epstein and Trump committed ther rapes. Men like Trump have no business taking pictures like these. It is sickening to good decent people who actually care about kids, instead of canceling aid programs for them, child health insurance, vaccination programs, and even college scholarships.
I find the photos that Somerby is swooning over and linking to be an abomination.
This obvious pre-campaign stunt may appeal to MAGAs, but they are a turn-off to the rest of us.
The male skunk plays no role in raising the young.
Deletehttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skunk
The male skunk is polygynous.
DeleteTrump enjoys sex. That right there is the main thing wrong with him.
DeleteAnonymouse 5:02pm, the more you babble, the less convincing you are. The anonymouse’s comments weren’t aimed at Trump—they were meant to take a shot at Bob. You’ve got Christmas and Easter at the White House to look forward to. Pace and brace yourself.
DeleteYour friend, Cecelia…
DeleteSomerby is an asshole who was thumbing his nose at his readers with today's essay.
DeleteAnonymouse 5:29pm, you’re a ridiculous piece of work.
DeleteTrump has not seen his tiny penis in years and neither has anyone else.
DeleteTrump has been morbidly obese for years.
Stormy was probably the last person to see his minuscule manhood, when Trump coerced her into unprotected sex with a false promise about becoming a cast member on the reality show that had hired Trump as a cast member.
This event occurred shortly after Trump's third wife had given birth.
Most of Trump's sexual assaults occurred in the 80s and 90s when he was best friends with Epstein.
Woody Allen was part of Epstein's circle.
DeleteAI says: "Gerwig expressed regret for acting in Allen's 2012 film To Rome with Love and stated she would never work with him again. Her comments followed public sexual abuse allegations made against Allen by his adopted daughter, Dylan Farrow, which Gerwig said made her realize her past collaboration added to another woman's pain."
Woody Allen is 90 years old and Greta Gerwig is 43 years old, making Allen 47 years older than Gerwig.
I have a small penis, and I don’t like being insulted about it.
DeleteWoody Allen never abused Dylan Farrow. Mia Farrow made that up and gaslighted Dylan, who was and is mentally disabled.
DeleteWoody Allen makes great movies but is a disgusting sex pest.
DeleteWoody Allen hung out with Epstein. That is damning.
DeleteThat is guilt by association. Think about it. One could say "Mia Farrow hung out with Allen. That is damning." See how stupid that is?
DeleteYou left out the part about Allen's Woody child raping her daughter (as alleged by Farrow).
DeleteIs this what all the men in the Epstein files will argue?
DeleteRe. Woody - the Connecticut authorities brought in the Child Sexual Abuse Clinic of Yale New Haven Hospital. After a 6 month investigation, their experts determined that Mia Farrow coached Dylan and that Dylan was having difficulty distinguishing between fantasy and reality. They also concluded it did not happen.
DeleteThis makes sense as his daughter's accusations never made any sense.
Woody Allen has been photographed associating with Epstein.
DeleteEveryone who associated with Epstein, in any way, is evil.
DeleteInteresting that guilt by association driven by moral panics are still a thing. I guess they always will be. As a species, we just don't reason too good.
DeleteHowever you want to slice it, it's fucked up. Maybe not in the most horrible way possible, but still fucked up. "Summary
DeleteWoody Allen did marry his ex‑partner’s adopted daughter, but he did not marry his own adopted daughter, as he never adopted Soon‑Yi Previn."
This comment has been removed by the author.
DeleteEpstein is not a "moral panic" but a real sex trafficking ring with several thousand victims. The Epstein files show this but they are being suppressed to protect the participants, who are "friends" of Trump, and to protect Trump himself, who was a close friend of Epstein and a participant in his recruitment, rape and trafficking of girls, some of whom worked at Mar a Lago while Trump owned it.
DeleteDismissing this as a "moral panic" suggests someone who is similarly trying to protect sex criminals.
It is without question a moral panic. The proof is in your answer. It's full of false claims and misleading claims you think or pretend to think are true. It's not exactly all your fault as powerful, interested, money grubbing parties have fed you a lot of disinformation about it.
DeleteIt's true that you can criticize Woody Allen marrying his ex‑partner’s adopted daughter. But that is not illegal or objectively immoral.
And it's fun to fantasize that Trump rapes children. I get that part of it totally. I wish it were true. But it's not.
DeleteI don't think you really understand what the Epstein files are.
Go watch the film Manhattan and then come back and tell us about Woody Allen's innocence.
DeleteThe film is about a relationship between a high school girl and a middle aged man. Mariel Hemingway played the teen. At the time, she was 16 and the character she played with 17 in the movie. Later, she said:
"In Woody Allen’s 1979 comedy Manhattan, the filmmaker, then 44, dated a 17-year-old character played by Mariel Hemingway. The part earned Hemingway an Oscar nomination, and, according to the actress in a forthcoming memoir, also the unwanted romantic attention of Allen.
In Out Came the Sun, which will be released on April 7, Hemingway claims that Allen attempted to lure her to Paris once she turned 18—two years after she had filmed Manhattan. “Our relationship was platonic, but I started to see that he had a kind of crush on me, though I dismissed it as the kind of thing that seemed to happen any time middle-aged men got around young women,” writes Hemingway. The actress suggests that Allen attempted to act upon the crush by flying to her parents’ home in Idaho and inviting the teen to Europe.
According to an excerpt obtained by Fox News, the actress cautioned her parents “that I didn’t know what the [sleeping] arrangement was going to be [in Paris], that I wasn’t sure if I was even going to have my own room. Woody hadn’t said that. He hadn’t even hinted it. But I wanted them to put their foot down. They didn’t. They kept lightly encouraging me.”
Hemingway says that she woke up at night with the realization that “[n]o one was going to get their own room. His plan, such as it was, involved being with me.” She says that she went into his guest room and woke him up asking, “I’m not going to get my own room, am I? I can’t go to Paris with you.”
The actress says that Allen left Idaho the next morning."
ReplyDeleteI touch my asshole and I sniff my finger.
And I post the most idiotic word-salad. A million times more idiotic than anything any one of you can imagine. Hallelujah!
I am Corby.
If this were a real blog, Somerby would moderate his comments and get rid of nonsense like this.
DeleteYou are absolutely correct.
DeleteThis is a right wing vanity blog that attracts loony right wing trolls.
DeleteYou are absolutely correct.
DeleteIf Somerby moderated his comments he'd get rid of all you Haters.
DeleteNo, Somerby wouldn’t.
DeleteIf anonymices could take down TDH, they WOULD. .
You wreck the place on your very own you nasty creep.
DeleteAnonymices consider Somerby’s blog as being their occupied territory and resent Bob and any commenters who don’t conform to THEIR rules for the joint.
DeleteThanks for policing the site and calling them out. You've really honed that act into an art form.
DeleteAnonymouse 12:38am, you can count on it.
DeleteI'd rather read about Corby and his body parts than someone telling me Somerby is a pedophile because he liked a photo of a five year old girl.
DeleteThey're accusing Somerby of being a pedophile, because he's a Right-winger, and being a pedophile is a Right-wing trait.
DeleteHe likes little girls. Old men aren’t allowed to like little girls.
DeleteLittle girls and young teens are children, not sex objects.
DeleteHe doesn’t say anything sexual about them. He just likes them. But it’s still wrong. An old man is not supposed to like girls, at all.
DeleteSomerby doesn’t spend every blog telling them that they’re wonderful and …wait for it… empathetic. For that reason they must gang-bust him night and day. We’re fortunate that we can read a blogger like Bob. He’s very thoughtful, intelligent, and real…He doesn’t sound like everyone else. For THAT reason he must be condemned because he’s not telling them how wonderful they are…and…wait for it… empathetic… They’re fatuous cows.
DeleteIf Somerby simply made commenters use a nym it would dramatically improve this comment section. That extra layer of anonymity seems to bring out the worst in people.
DeleteCecelia, that’s a deeply insightful comment. This blog owes you a debt of gratitude. I just wish you weren’t so tall.
DeleteAnonymouse 10:09om, I’ll try to do better next lifetime.
DeleteBe petite and sassy!
DeleteDG, there’s some psychology behind their decision to stay anonymous. It’s keep things impersonal and colorless. They’re at war with Bob and don’t want TDH to be personable or attractive to any existent. Anonymity also makes you unaccountable from one comment to the next. HOWEVER, they’re not completely successful with that. I have a very good ear…
DeleteAnonymouse 10:25m, ewww.
DeleteWhich is bad, petite or sassy?
DeleteIt's proud of their nasty shitforbrains trolls like Cecelia that stink this place up
DeleteI love my Granddaughters you fucking idiot.
DeleteI tried using the nym "Anonymous" and it changed nothing around here.
DeleteCecelia, if our nation is heading into an authoritarian dictatorship, even online comments can be cause for arrest and torture in some detention camp. Under Hitler, a woman was sent to a work camp merely for naming her pig "Hitler." We don't know where this country is going but we have seen the ruthless behavior of ICE and the DOJ persecuting its perceived enemies.
DeleteIf we had faith in the government to protect our Constitutional freedoms, we could post comments under our real names. That isn't true right now, so those of us with common sense are using other names. It is easier to just leave our comments anonymous than to think up and type nyms every time we say something.
Others here may have different reasons of their own. In the early days of usenet, I commented from an academic account using my assigned email name. I was later stalked in real life by a person who contacted my employer to tell lies about me and even visited my workplace. That stalker was later arrested for firing a gun through the front window of someone else they had internet-related issues with. Fortunately, the stalker was convicted and went to jail. Years later, when I applied for a tech job, my prospective employer questioned me about the incident, having looked it up online.
So, I learned the hard way to stay anonymous online, even when talking about totally innocuous things. I think it is foolish to place oneself in jeopardy unnecessarily, when who knows what the future will bring and what kind of crazies exist. The level of obsession here among trolls like Cecelia and DG is not reassuring. Look how someone is still hounding Corby, who disappeared several years ago. This is not a safe space, in my opinion.
The urgency with which these people keep pushing for use of "nyms" makes no sense. I doubt it would help anything, but I wonder what their ulterior motive might be for trying to "out" others here.
"If we had faith in the government to protect our Constitutional freedoms, we could post comments under our real names."
DeleteHere's a tip: Dogface George's 'real name' isn't Dogface George. A nym is not a real name.
Should they decide to, any dictatorship with an ounce of ruthlessness would be able to access the data showing what the actual real name of any commenter is, even if they show as 'anonymous'.
"Diana Louisa Napolis is an American former child protection worker and high-profile online harasser who used the internet pseudonym "Curio" (or "Karen Curio Jones"). In the late 1990s and early 2000s, she became notorious as an internet stalker obsessed with Satanic Ritual Abuse (SRA) conspiracy theories.
DeleteOverview of the Case
• The Core Delusion: Napolis intensely promoted conspiracy theories claiming that a massive, underground cult of "satanic ritual abusers" was active in the United States. She claimed that prominent mainstream psychologists, skeptics, and Hollywood elites were secretly members of this cult or involved in government-sponsored mind control.
• High-Profile Targets:
• Steven Spielberg: She was arrested and charged in 2001 after making hundreds of harassing phone calls and emails to the director, claiming that he and his wife belonged to a satanic cult.
• Jennifer Love Hewitt: In 2002, she was arrested again after confronting the actress in person and sending her numerous death threats.
• Academics & Activists: She also severely harassed memory researcher Elizabeth Loftus and social activists who debunked satanic ritual abuse panic.
• The Legal Outcome: In 2003, Napolis pleaded guilty to stalking charges. She avoided prison time by agreeing to a strict sentence of five years of probation, mandatory psychiatric treatment, and a comprehensive ban from using computers or the internet."
Anonymouse 12:00pm, you’re a part of an organized operation.
Delete@12:51 Why then are these trolls demanding that everyone use a nym? By your account, the anonymous is already a nym.
DeleteIf Somerby wanted everyone at his blog to use a nym, he could implement a moderation system such as Disquis that would require people to sign in and use a screen name in order to comment. He has not done this. That suggests that DG and Cecelia are going against Somerby's wishes with such demands.
We may be temporarily safe from our government but we are not safe from stalkers. The internet should belong to all of us, to use as we see fit, but that may not last if assholes persecute those who disagree with their demands, such as to use nyms. It seems innocuous but what right do they have? None that I can see.
Anonymouse 12:36pm, you’re part of an organized slander squad that has been making shockingly ill-willed personal accusations against TDH for years.
DeleteI’m on the fence concerning moderation of these comments. It’s an interesting sandbox, I don’t know if I’ve ever seen its like.
DeleteThe comments could be described as a type of democracy – everyone can speak, a place where any damn-fool can say their piece. It ain’t a pretty place, not often conducive to reasoned dialogue as it used to be, but for some reason we all like to be here. Can we chalk it up to Somerby? Well, who else? He’s the one allowing us engage in this way.
Okay, I say unmoderated is fine, even if we have people with TDS posting here.
(Little known fact – TDS refers to Trump supporters, not the other way around. I don’t really know how that happened. It would be a great topic for future socio-political scholars.)
Leroy’s Missing Frontal Lobe
It’s easy to crack nyms. Dogface George’s real name is Augustus Alexander Wilson. Cecelia’s real name is Margaret Barbara Clancy Lopez.
DeleteAnonymouse 1:10pm, that such bullshite. How would you be stalked if you consistently used the nym…say…”Pretentious Twit” or “BO Girl” at TDH?
DeleteAnonymouse 1:14pm, but you can call me Jeff.
DeleteGeorge, I’m an anonymouse, and I understand what you’re saying. In real life I’m a good decent person. But here I’m a nasty troll.
ReplyDeleteGosh darn it, I meant that comment as a reply to Dogface George. As an anonymouse I can’t delete it. So here it sits.
DeleteThat happens to me all the time, too. When I mean to reply to the very last comment, often I mistakenly start a new thread instead.
DeleteThe North Carolina State Board of Elections and local county election boards removed or did not approve early voting and polling sites on several college campuses ahead of the 2026 midterm elections.
ReplyDeleteU.S. District Judge Trina Thompson issued a temporary restraining order blocking the Trump administration and the Justice Department from threatening, intimidating, or coercing state and local election officials over ballot processing and voter eligibility disputes ahead of the November 3, 2026 midterm elections.
But let’s spend the rest of the week attacking Peltola for being unfair.
