Who lost health care? Who lost Barrett herself?: We've spent the bulk of the day watching the Barrett hearing. Two thoughts kept recurring.
Regarding the ACA, our team has managed to lose health care, at least in principle, as it has persistently failed to discuss such data as these:
Per capita spending, health care, 2018
United States: $10,586
United Kingdom: $4070
South Korea: $3192
Politicians? Press and professors? On our side, absolutely no one discusses those deeply puzzling numbers. Citizens, red and blue together, have never been encouraged to wonder where all that "missing money" goes.
Concerning Barrett herself, we lost the Barrett nomination when we sat around, for several decades, allowing the war against Clinton / Gore / Clinton to unfold.
Upper-end journalists waged misogynist war against Hillary Clinton; the nation's sleepwalking professors stood by and let it go. Our team has been very poorly served by these sleepwalking elites.
These thoughts recurred as we looked on today. More on press-and-professors tomorrow.
