Two names you ought to be thinking about!

MONDAY, JUNE 10, 2013

Those names are Kessler and Maddow: In the past ten days, we have watched fairly closely as a fraud has been perpetrated.

That fraud has been conducted against millions of people. It involves the array of bogus facts we continued to discuss in this morning’s first post.

Millions of people have been disinformed as this scam has been pimped. For starters, you should think about the role that’s been played in this scam by Glenn Kessler.

Kessler runs the Fact Checker site at the Washington Post. As he has shown in the past ten days, he would rather jump off a bridge than fact-check Bill O’Reilly, Sean Hannity or Greta Van Susteren.

Kessler won't even fact-check Newt Gingrich if Gingrich is speaking on Fox!

Kessler isn’t going to go there. As of 9 o’clock this morning, this one fact is blindingly clear.

Kessler isn’t going to go there—and a second figure, Rachel Maddow, isn’t going to push him. Neither are the other hosts on MSNBC, of course. But they don’t posture about their love for the truth in the ludicrous, fact-challenged way Maddow constantly does.

Maddow is going to let this go. So is Kessler. On Fox, the fraud will keep being pushed. Millions of people will be disinformed in the process.

Such people then speak to their friends.

This is the way our national discourse has worked for a very long time now. As the week proceeds, we will speculate about several players’ motives, working with their own words.

  3. Every time I read this site you are pissing all over Maddow over something unbelievably trivial. This time, Maddow is responsible for making the Washington Post do thier jobs.

Re-read your posts about Al Gore in 2000. Then look in the mirror!

Who knows. Maybe one of these times you'll have a real Maddow scandal - like she mispronounced somebodies name, or said the sky is blue when it's actually light blue.
