Online Post, print edition Post!

Fox News disappears: Three cheers for the print edition of the Washington Post!

This very morning, there it sat, above the fold on the paper's front page. The headline above the news report said this:

Fox aired false claims to avoid losing its audience

In print editions, that news report sat above the fold, right on the Post's front page!

Moments ago, we decided to subject ourselves to the (frequently punishing) Online Washington Post Challenge.

We searched in succession on the last names of the report's three authors. Sure enough! At present, this important news report doesn't exist on the online Washington Post's endless front page at all.

Every type of piffle is present. The report about Fox is not.

The Fox News Channel is quite a mess. Is it possible that the online Post is trying to get even dumber?

Just so you'll know: At present, the online Post gives banner treatment to six (6) news reports at the top of its endless front page.

Six reports get banner treatment. The last three such offerings are these:

A police department wanted to study the effects of pot. So it asked for volunteers—free pizza included.

This French onion pasta is internet famous—and lives up to the hype

When did NBA stars become too cool to dunk?

NBA stars have become too cool to dunk! That pointless report is bannered at the top of the endless front page.

The important report about Fox News isn't on the front page at all.

  1. "Fox aired false claims to avoid losing its audience..." "...this important news report..."

Oh, dear. We don't know if what Fox aired was "false claims", but it did, what of it? It's a news service, dear Bob. They report claims, if they are newsworthy; both trustworthy and dubious.

...and by the way, what about your dembot mass-media airing 'russiagate' bullshit, non-stop, for years? Airing the bullshit concocted by 51 former 'intelligence' officials? Etc, etc, etc.

    1. Spoken like a true cult member. When you have fully extracted your head from Rupert Murdoch's ass you can let us know how well tanning your gonads worked for your virility. Hopefully you kept the receipt for the tiniest sunlamp.

...and fer chrissakes watch your blood pressure, dear; at your age -- you must. We would hate to see you turning into John Fetterman...

Somerby would also have found these if he had clicked on the National link at the top of the page, or on the Business link or the Politics link.

Somerby's claim that the Washington Post online has not covered this story is false, false, false. The only question is whether Somerby is being deliberately deceptive about this (in order to attack the Washington Post), or is just too clueless to be allowed anywhere near a computer.

    2. Bob’s standard joke used to that he had a group of analysts on the couch examining the news coverage. Who knows? Maybe he used to get some help and feedback. Clearly now he has a hard time just keeping track of things. He certainly appears lazy about it, which feeds the general stupidity of his conclusions.
