AMERICA(S) THE BEAUTIFUL: The focus shifted this morning on Fox!

SATURDAY, DECEMBER 13, 2025

"Tampon," the flyweight said: America(s) the Beautiful are in a world of hurt. Just consider what happened, this very morning, in the first ten minutes of Fox & Friends Weekend.

For starters, it's just as we told you. The sprawling Minnesota fraud event was the first topic the friends discussed. As we told you, this event will be pushed within Silo Red.

Inside our own Silo Blue, the event will be disappeared.

In such ways, two groups of American citizens emergedueling group with different ideas of what is happening in the countr(ies) they inhabit. But this morning, what a change!

As the friends discussed this mountain of fraud, the Somali connection was almost completely disappeared. They now tied the whole thing to Governor Walzto the man who's simply known as "Tampon" on this channel's most-watched "news" programs.

The Somali connection was gone today; Rep. Omar was barely mentioned. That said, the topic stays hot within Silo Red. It was the very first topic the trio of friends chose to discuss this morning. They did so in an exchange which consumed the program's first ten minutes.

So it will continue to go as our giant sprawling nation is transitioned into a pair of warring tribes. Concerning the actual facts which may exist, we'll direct you in two ways:

Now for the rest of the story:

Last Sunday, Rep. Omar appeared on Face the Nation, where she discussed this topic with the program's host, Margaret Brennan. Rep. Omar's appearance followed a stumblebum performance by Scott Bessent, who embarrassed himself with such clownage as this:

BRENNAN (12/7/25): Before I let you go, I want to ask you about this massive fraud out in Minnesota, and the state welfare program has been under federal investigation since all the way back in 2022.

The president told you, though, this week, to look into Somalis whoquote–"ripped off that state for billions of dollars." He said they contribute nothing. What exactly are you investigating?

BESSENT: Well, Margaret, to be clear, the initial fraud that was discovered by the IRS, for which I'm the acting commissioner, it was discovered by IRS Criminal Investigations Unit. This was not an endogenous thing that the state of Minnesota decided. We had to go in and clean up the mess for them, and this is part of the continued cleanup.

A lot of money has been transferred from the individuals who committed this fraud, including those who donated to the governor, donated to Representative Omar and donated to A.G. Ellison.

[...]

BRENNAN: OK, but you have no evidence of that money being used to fuel terrorism, which is what some conservative writers are alleging?

BESSENT: Well, that's why–that's why it's an investigation. We started it last week. We'll see where it goes. But I can tell you that, you know, it's terrible. You know, Representative Omar tried to downplay it, said, oh, it was very - - the – it was very tough to know how this money should – should be used.

She was gaslighting the American people. But, you know, when you come to this country, you got to learn which side of the road to drive on, you got to learn to stop at stop signs, and you got to learn the – not to defraud the American people.

As a spokesperson inside Silo Red, he was still working the Somali / Omar / foreigner / money to terrorists beat. Rep. Omar needs to learn to stop at stop signs, he thoughtfully said, and to stop defrauding the public.

In fact, Bessent himself had been floating the notion that there was some sort of Somali terrorist link to this mountain of fraud. You can see him doing so here.

Brennan was perhaps too polite to mention that particular fact. But when asked about the general notion, Bessent had nothing but a speculation to offer.

At any rate, as of today, on Fox & Friends Weekend, the Somali framework was gone. Last Sunday, Brennan finally got Bessent to leave, then spoke with Rep. Omar. In this, the initial Q-and-A, Rep. Omar made a statement which was never going to be repeated on the Fox News Channel:

BRENNAN: We have a lot to get to with you, but I want to pick up on where the Treasury Secretary just left off. He alleged that people who were tied to you or your campaign were involved in this broad, brazen scheme to rip off the Minnesota state welfare system.

Do you want to respond to that? Do you know what he is referring to?

OMAR: I really don't, and I don't think the Secretary himself understands what he's referring to.

We obviously had people who were able to donate to our campaign that were involved. We sent that money back a couple years ago. And, actually, I was one of the first members of Congress to send a letter to the Secretary of [Agriculture], asking them to look into what I thought was a reprehensible fraud that was occurring within the program.

[...]

BRENNAN: So, do you think, though, that there was a failure by the Democratic state government to police itself? This is a brazen fraudulent activity here.

OMAR: Yes. And that is what I alluded to in my letter that I had sent to the Secretary of Ag, was to see where things were going wrong. How can this amount of money disappear fraudulently without there being alarms being set off?

According to Rep. Omar, she had long since returned those campaign donations. Also, she said she had played an early role in having this fraud investigated.

Brennan herself had mentioned another factthese prosecutions had started within the Biden era DOJ. That's another fact which was never going to be mentioned by the messaging agents inside Silo Red.

Additional information was involved in the New York Times' front-page report about this newly red-hot scandal. In the end, what sorts of facts may emerge from this ongoing event?

We can't tell you that, but we can tell you this:

Whatever facts may emerge, Red and Blue Americans will be exposed to sifted versions of those facts. That's the way the game is currently played within the "beautiful, for spacious skies" of our own America(s) the Possibly Less Than Beautiful.

This morning, the friends were changing the focus of this topic, with Walz as their new target. This may be a way for Silo Red to steer away from the astounding recent behavior by President Trump, who wants immigrants from places like Sweden and Denmark, not from the "shithole countries" which have sent us "garbage" like Rep. Omar and "her friends."

So he has said, and said and said! With this morning's shifted focus, Silo Red may be trying to avoid future discussion of such behavior by the president.

Meanwhile, for reasons we haven't seen explained, large parts of Silo Blue have also agreed to pretend that those "shocking" outbursts by President Trump never occurred.

Along the way, we'll also always have the flyweight Watters.

We know you think we're just making it up when we discuss the way this 47-year-old stumblebum child conducts himself on the air.

We know that's what a sane person would think. But there he was, just last night, hosting the second most-watched "cable news" program in all of our realm's "cable news."

There he was, and here's what he said. We actually don't make this up:

WATTERS (12/12/25): Granny wants [ICE] agents to quitand Noem deported! No wonder they're so mad. "Tampon" lit the fuse.

When this flyweight goes on the air, Governor Walz is "Tampon Tim"or he may simply be "Tampon!"

Also, citizens of Blue America may be referred to as "Granny." To see what this corporate flyweight was talking about, you can just click here.

That's the way the game is played inside the stunningly low-IQ Silo Red. Inside our famously brilliant Silo Blue, our journalists avert their gaze from this assault on the discourse.

Over here, inside Silo Blue, our multimillion-dollar stars don't seem to be able to care. We're living now in Silo(es) Americain America(s) Red and Blue!

It's all good, it's so good it's great. It means that the swamp-draining is going well.

Please keep draining the swamp, Mr. President, and thank you for your BEAUTIFUL swamp-draining!

    9. It is always revealing to see what the right considers funny or clever. Cecelia is linking to a guy who bears more resemblance to Charlie Kirk than Newsom, preaching for money. Newsom clearly isn't that guy because he is a popular Governor trying to actually solve people's problems, not scam them for money.

I linked to Randy Rainbow's new song, which is much more entertaining, and to the now viral photo of Trump using his walker, which is clearly a fake but gets across the idea that Trump has been concealing serious health issues. And since they created a lot of those kinds of memes to attack Biden, turn-about is fair play, as we blues who care about justice say to each other. (Explanation provided for the foreign trolls like Cecelia who don't quite have a grasp of English, much less idioms.)

    12. Comparing Newsom to scum is a typical conservative slur. Unlike Republicans like you, Cecelia, Democrats have empathy. We don't like seeing someone who has done a good job and is running a serious campaign maligned by assholes like you. We care about that because we understand who Newsom actually is and what he has done, and see that he doesn't deserve the treatment you are giving him. That is what empathy means. You are the one who could drop a bomb on innocent people without blinking -- you and the others who applaud Trump when he kills fishermen on boats by bombing them out of the water.

      Delete

    13. "That is what empathy means."

      It's not. That's idiot-Democrat partisanship.

And by the way, calling your opponents "assholes" makes your idea of 'empathy' extremely idiotic.

      Delete
    14. Anonymouse 2:41pm, the word “empathy” is not defined as “I’m nice to the people who do what I say and some other people when I am forced yo be “nice” or when they are my enemy’s enemy. You don’t have empathy, you don’t have a sense of humor, you have anger and ideology.

      Delete
    15. It would be partisanship if I didn't know who Newsom was except for the D following his name. But I lived in CA and watched him work hard for Californians, especially after various fires. He cares about the people of our state, and I care about him enough to be offended by assholes like you.

I get it that you believe partisanship is all there is. After all, you make your living writing partisan crap. But no feeling person could watch what the Republicans have been doing to hurt people, including their own voters, and not feel bad for them.

Knowing how hard Newsom has worked to help us recover from the latest fire, it bothers me to see you malign him when he cares way more about those who elected him than Trump does, or most of Trump's cronies. Musk doesn't even care about his own children! Vance is trying to force his wife to abandon her religion! Melania can't stand Trump and won't live with him any more. These are not good people, but these are the unfeeling monsters you have chosen to defend here. That means there is something wrong with you too, as a thinking, feeling human being. You aren't fit to mention Newsom's name, just as you don't know how to tell the wicked from the decent human beings.

      Delete
    16. empathy definition: "the ability to understand and share the feelings of another"

Cecelia displays zero empathy here, especially when it comes to the suffering of those who are not like herself.

    17. Anonymouse 3:44pm, what you mean by that statement is that I don’t share your political views. I don’t think that transwomen are really women and I differ with your liberal political views. YOU say that I must embrace your views or I’m not empathetic. I don’t make such demands or judgments upon you or other liberals. On the other hand, you can’t even tolerate Somerby.,,

      Delete
    18. You make ugly jokes about other people's pain. This has nothing to do with political opinions. It is about decency toward other people. You post a link to a video in which Newsom is moving his shoulders around (with context deleted) and think that is something funny, something you should deride Newsom for doing. He may be standing in a wind, he may be dancing, but why would you think it is funny when someone moves his body in a way you don't understand (because there is no context)? Do you also laugh at people who limp or people who gesture while talking? What exactly was supposed to be demeaning to Newsom in that video? He shifts from side to side while talking. But you think it demeans him somehow.

This shows the kind of person you are, Cecelia. And it reflects poorly on you because it reveals a desire to hurt Newsom by any means. Meanwhile, we on the left don't go around posting memes of Trump dancing to YMCA (a gay song) and looking foolish. We know he is having a good time at a rally and don't try to pretend he is as retarded as he looks.

      Delete
    19. Yes, you get it about right Cecelia, your political views demonstrate a lack of empathy. Were you an actual American, Cecelia, recognizing that transpeople exist would not impede upon your rights in any way; this is why this is a non issue - even Republican voters rank it as dead last on their list of concerns. In reality, if you want to support Republican values, having a moral panic over transpeople is not effective. Which is why I am fine with your histrionics over transpeople, it is part of why Trump is so far down in the polls, dragging the Republican party down with him, so more power to you.

  3. Somerby has lost the thread of his complaint. He seems to be complaining because red and blue factions report different things, but he doesn't seem to know why that is bad or what it means or even to recognize that this has always been true.

No Republicans called Nixon "tricky Dick". So what? No Democrats called Clinton "slick Willy." So what? Opponents say different things about those they oppose than the supporters do. Somerby has forgotten why that matters. He isn't calling the right liars but he definitely thinks the blues are as bad as the reds. Both sides, dontcha know? Even though Ilhan had a bigger a slice of truth than Bessent and Watters is an obvious fool attacking the left by making shit up. Somerby doesn't draw the obvious conclusion about the right, even in this very obvious situation. Why not?

But notice how often Somerby uses the word Tampon. That seems gratuitous to me. Walz isn't running for anything now and his side discovered the fraud. So what is the point of that, aside from furthering the insult? Somerby purports to show how bad Watters is, but it is Walz who is repeatedly slimed, by Somerby.

And if Somerby had any understanding of misogyny, he would point out that insulting a man by calling him a feminine hygiene product is pretty damned sexist and derogatory toward women (whose bodies men consider icky) not Walz. And when did insulting women become an effective campaign tactic? When bros became more important to Trump than female voters, and Trump decided that denigrating women was the way to men's hearts.

Somerby may have given token recognization to that aspect of right wing culture previously, but then he repeats the insult himself today, over and over, not just once but again and again, 5 times!

Just like Trump University was a massive fraud that occurred in someone's legislative districts before the fake University was sued for fraud and shut down. As Trump knows, you don't need to be in the midst of a pandemic to engage in fraud. He has conviction for 34 counts of business fraud against him. That makes the right wing concern about MN a tad hypocritical and Somerby/Cecelia a stooge when he/she chants today's talking points.

    6. Here is the timeline:

Fraud was conceived and implemented by an American White Christian woman who received the bulk of the benefits. This woman was able to dupe a community of immigrants, some of whom were willing participants, but most were unwitting accomplices - but still had to plead guilty since they did improperly fill out paperwork. The Walz admin discovered the fraud (Omar in this aspect is not being forthright) and passed the case on to the feds, and then the case was prosecuted by the Biden admin, and the ringleader/mastermind - that American White Christian woman - is now in jail.

Fast forward to Trump and his admin's incompetency leading to the Trump admin being the least popular in modern history (now hitting the low 30s and headed downward) with Trump's corruption and criminality being exposed daily (primarily due the the democratization of media - the centrist Dems that maintain power and corporate media are doing little), the Trump admin has decided to scapegoat an immigrant community, which is straight out of the right wing playbook going back decades.

So an American White Christian woman committed fraud (about $250 million, not billions), and the grownups in the room - the Walz and Biden admins - competently took care of the issue, and now Trump is flailing and desperate so he is trying to weaponize the issue, and he would have gotten away with it in the past, but now with independent media more influential than corporate media, this weaponization attempt has been exposed as a nothingburger and will go nowhere.

That Somerby is not calling out corporate media for obfuscating on this issue, and instead is just offering gorilla dust, says all you need to know about his right wing values.

    7. AI: Aimee Bock (a white Minnesota native) pleaded guilty in 2024 to wire fraud and money laundering for failing to monitor applicants to her nonprofit, Feeding Our Future, she did not conceive or implement the core scheme. Federal prosecutors described it as a "vast conspiracy" where dozens of Somali-American defendants created sham companies, fabricated meal records for non-existent children, and laundered funds for personal luxuries like luxury cars, overseas trips, and real estate. Bock's role was enabling lax oversight during the pandemic, but she received far less than the "bulk"—court documents show defendants like Abdiaziz Shafii Farah and Mohamed Jama Ismail pocketed millions each, while Bock's personal gain was limited to a $1.4 million home purchase partly funded by fraud proceeds. Overall, 70+ defendants (mostly Somali immigrants or their associates) were charged, with 59 convictions by late 2025, indicating community-wide orchestration rather than one woman's solo effort Additional context: Bock was sentenced to five years' probation in October 2025, not jail time as claimed, underscoring her peripheral role compared to ringleaders like Liban Yasin (28 years) and Mukhtar Shariff (10 years), both Somali-born.

Cecelia has yet to provide evidence of anyone's dishonest here, she won't even acknowledge Trump's dishonesty. Not the best judge of commenter honesty, in my opinion. Without evidence, she is just calling names, as usual. That is her first and last resort, given that she doesn't have the smarts to advance a position and support it.

    11. The Feds call Aimee Bock the "mastermind".

The scheme was run through her organization, the organization that she founded, she was the only one who had the institutional knowledge to conceive and implement the scheme, to manipulate her organization for fraudulent purposes.

Bock was the mastermind, and she did then reach out and find other co conspirators.

Her sentencing is an indication of biases; an American White woman conceives and implements a scheme, but employs a community of immigrants to operate the scheme, so, as is common in our justice system, the American White person gets it a bit easier than people of color/immigrants.

      Delete
    12. Correct, Bock was the mastermind.

    13. "but employs a community of immigrants to operate the scheme"

So those 52 (and counting) Somalis who were convicted were dupes? And they were convicted of the crime of being 'duped'?

Sounds like that's what happened. Is that what happened? They were duped into committing wire fraud and bribery and money laundering.

      Poor little lambs.

    14. I know it's shocking, but you can't trust what Cecelia posts as "AI." She must be using some kind of right-wing version of an AI search. Here is what Google AI says, and it provides supporting articles:

Aimee Bock was identified by prosecutors and found guilty by a federal jury as the mastermind and ringleader of the massive $250 million "Feeding Our Future" fraud scheme in Minnesota.
Role: As the founder and executive director of the nonprofit organization Feeding Our Future, Bock was at the top of the fraud network. The organization acted as a sponsor for numerous meal sites under the Federal Child Nutrition Program, which was expanded during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Scheme: Instead of using the federal funds to feed children in need, Bock and her co-conspirators submitted fraudulent claims for millions of non-existent meals and pocketed the money to fund lavish lifestyles, including real estate and luxury items.
Conviction: After a high-profile trial that concluded in March 2025, Bock was found guilty on all seven counts she faced, including wire fraud, conspiracy, and bribery.

Btw, among much else, notice that Cecelia's AI results conveniently leave out the conspiracy conviction.

  10. Somerby says:

"AMERICA(S) THE BEAUTIFUL: The focus shifted this morning on Fox!"

Somerby adds an S to the word America. He doesn't explain this directly, but he appears to mean red vs blue America (not North America vs South America), as he talks about silos.

Here on the left, we think of America as one country with differences of opinion over political issues. We do not consider Republicans to be a different race or people, much less a separate and distinct country. On the right, red America has called for succession, much as they did in the civil war times. Reds (and Somerby) seem to consider blues to be allied with foreigners, immigrants (especially illegal ones), diversity and black people, elements that are considered un-American, and they are quite vocal in saying this.

That Somerby acknowledges multiple Americas shows he buys into the red framing of our country, not the blue one in which we are all one people, multicultural and diverse, with differences of opinion that we resolve in a democratic process specifically designed to resolve disagreement peacefully and with concern for all people's interests. Somerby doesn't see it that way and he has stated that he considers democracy a failed system.

I reject Somerby's framing and the right wing desire to dissolve our union through Civl War 2.0 (as they have called it). But it seems like an obvious mistake to have placed a divisive figure like Trump into the presidency. The sooner he leaves, the sooner we can return to focusing on our common ground and shared national heritage, addressing the needs of the people instead of billionaire self-interest.

That day cannot come soon enough. Trump is failing. He needs to be removed via Article 25. Only Republicans can do that. If they cared about our nation, they would address that and not continue calling Democratic governors "Tampon" and sending troops to blue cities to bully the people who live there. If anyone needs to man-up, it is Republicans. They are the ones who fear the decrepit shell play-acting as a leader while hoarding gold trinkets. Bombing small neighboring countries does not show strength. Republicans need to admit they made a mistake and correct it. Trump does more damage to more people with every day he remains in office. It is time for him to go. Away. Far away.

"Fox News anchor Jesse Watters' salary and net worth explained ...Jesse Watters' salary is reportedly around $11 million annually, with estimates varying, but sources place him in the multi-million dollar range at Fox News..."

"While there's no official confirmation, reports and industry estimates suggest CBS News anchor Margaret Brennan's salary is likely in the multi-million dollar range, potentially around $2-4 million annually..."

Who cares more about Trump's abuse of Ilhan Omar? Arguably it is Brennan and not Watters. But this comparison also illustrates the gender-based pay gap that Somerby says does not exist. Even at her peak on cable, Rachel Maddow made about 1/3 less than Tucker Carlson on Fox. But it is the right using sexist slurs to attack Walz, not Brennan. So, what is the basis for Somerby's claim that blue stars care less about such things than who? Certainly not Watters, but also not Somerby, who repeats the slurs and engages in his own misogyny oblivious to his bigotry (I hope, but perhaps he does that on purpose too).

Do we have more non-millionaire media personalities who care more than the right does about important issues. Absolutely we do. However, those with lower salaries tend to be found in Independent media at present, or writing substacks, or working for non-profits. They have more freedom to tell the truth than the legacy media (especially CBS but also MSNOW and CNN, which Trump is trying to acquire and turn into another propaganda outlet).

However, it is not realistic to expect anyone doing a full-time job in these times of inflation to work for free. So Somerby needs to tell us all how much money he thinks a journalist can be paid without becoming too corrupt to escape criticism by those musing about the press. He never answers such questions, but only attacks certain personalities (mainly female journalists leaning left) as if these were personal flaws and not structural problems in journalism.

    1. The film Broadcast News showed the beginning of the trend to present news as entertainment. The current high salaries of media hosts arises because these people are "stars" in an entertainment sense, not public servants informing the public. This didn't arise from the left and it is not worse on the left than the right (Fox, now CBS and soon CNN).

Somerby's dishonesty about where this originated and who is worse reflects his own purpose for blogging -- to advance right wing memes and attack the left (supposedly from the left). No matter how much money Brennan makes, that doesn't excuse Somerby's own failure to support Democratic candidates running against Trump (Kamala or Hillary and certainly Biden, who Somerby claimed was too old, joining the Republican noise machine in its attack on a Biden second-term).

Republicans don't care what they say about their political enemies, so of course they assume that lefties are the same ugly assholes that they are. Neither Newsom nor Digby deserve to have stories made up about them just because they are involved in the political process. But Republicans have no boundaries and will say any mean thing they want just to hurt other people.

Cecelia complains that some commenters here say mean things about Somerby. My opinion is that they are saying things about Somerby that are justified by his own words and behavior. When he is called a sexist or racist, it is because of something he said that was sexist or racist. In contrast, Newsom never said his father was a religious zealot and Digby has never said anything about Somerby in her blog, to my knowledge. She just writes a much better daily blog than Somerby does and receives deserved praise for doing so, from the liberal blogosphere.

Cecelia's ugly attacks on people here are unjustified by the criticism of Somerby, largely based on his own words. If this were my blog, I would have banned her a long time ago, not for her opinions but for her cruelty to others. She doesn't meet my own standards of decency. "Sex and Rockets: The Occult World of Jack Parsons Paperback – March 10, 2005
      by John Carter (Author)

In his short 37 years, John Whiteside “Jack” Parsons embodied at least several different roles in one tormented but glorious life.
By day, Parsons’ unorthodox genius created a solid rocket fuel that helped the Allies win World War II and NASA send spacecraft to the moon. Co-founder of Jet Propulsion Laboratory and the Aerojet Corporation, a lunar crater was named after Parsons.
By night, Parsons called himself The Antichrist when he performed Aleister Crowley’s Thelemic rituals to create a new sort of human being that would finally destroy Christianity.
In a Pasadena mansion, the dark, handsome Parsons hosted soirees for the emerging literature of science fiction, visited by writers such as Robert Heinlein, Ray Bradbury, and none other than L. Ron Hubbard, who later founded the Church of Scientology. With Hubbard playing his “Scribe,” Parsons enacted dark “Babalon” rituals to help foment a new occult age. Jack Parsons died suddenly in a huge, mysterious explosion that even today cannot be definitively explained. Was it murder? Suicide? Or just an accident?"

After being fired by JPL where he worked with Nazi scientists, Parsons created pyrotechnics for the film industry. His interest in Nazi occultism was the basis for the sex cult portrayed in the film Eyes Wide Shut. Parsons was accused of treason and immersed in German occultism that is again part of today's neo-Nazism, including sex rituals.

When Somerby repeatedly discusses that mediocre film with his coy innuendo, it appears to be a wink-wink nod-nod reference to that occult revival, as are the repeated references to Homer's Iliad. Like Trump, Hitler and neo-Nazis admire all things Greek and Roman. Hegseth admires the warrior culture while Somerby makes oblique statements about the sexual politics in the Iliad. Another shout-out to the Groypers who admire and reread those classics. Somerby's remark that the picture of Anne Frank age 14 was worth the price of the book is bizarre outside this right wing neo-Nazi culture coming out of the woodwork along with Musk's Nazi salutes and our new ICE stormtroopers.

It takes no imagination whatsoever to put together all of the pieces of Somerby's hinting, to connect his dots. To defend Somerby on this, you have to ignore a whole lot of weirdness that otherwise makes no sense. Such as, why does a grown man keep talking about My Antonia, a novel much admired by Nazis in both the US and Germany during the run up to WWII? DG is welcome to supply alternative theories about what this all means, coupled with Somerby refusal to directly state anything while throwing in obscure and odd references. I used to think such references came from nowhere except Somerby's unconscious, but now I know that they are shared by the subculture of rising alt-right Nazi elements infecting the American right. The whining comes from DG, who rightly finds this despicable but has no explanation to replace this uglier one.

    4. January 3, 2021. White House phone call to the Georgia Secretary of State:

Trump: “So look. All I want to do is this. I just want to find 11,780 votes, which is one more than we have because we won the state.”

Trump: “So what are we going to do here folks? I only need 11,000 votes. Fellas, I need 11,000 votes. Give me a break.”

    5. Hector, my guess is Trump was saying make sure every thing has been counted. After-all, how many votes did Comma La come up with in California literally weeks after the election? However, it may be that they ran out of gumballs.

    6. Ran out of gumballs, ha ha ha that’s such a funny joke about black people denied their right to vote. You suck, Cecelia.

  17. The problem for Democrats is can they be organized and coherent as leaders? If you want a seat at the big boy table, you have to act like a grown up. It remains to be seen whether or not Democrats have what it takes. There's really no reason to believe anything they say after Biden.

    3. Democrats exaggerated about Biden's cognitive abilities to make the larger point that there are no Republican voters who aren't bigots, obviously.

    4. Why is the Republican Party working overtime to get the public to learn there are people who support a 100% Estate Tax rate, because they want to live in a merit-based society?

Duh. It's because Republicans don't shut down opponents.
      LOL.

    6. Anonymouse 3:11pm, anonymices exaggerated Biden’s cognitive fitness in order to make the point that there are no anonymices who aren’t clowns.

    7. Why do you waste your time writing stuff like that? It doesn't convince anyone of anything.

    8. Anonymouse 3:22pm, this is your clownish behavior every day. You aren’t any of the dire and awful things you call your opponents, you’re a putz.

    12. Biden did not do enough, but he was the most pro labor president we have had in our lifetime, completely the opposite of Trump who has nothing but disdain for workers.

    13. Anonymouse 3:53pm, it does a lot of good. It’s a challenge to the daily cursing out and insults that David receives over his views. It also counters the hate and literally horrible accusations that are made about Bob. It allows me to put into the words the nature of you anonymices who make this onslaught your life’s work. It’s much needed. It’s necessary. Get used to it.

    14. It will take decades for the Democratic party to return to relevance.

    15. To counter any of the things you list, you would have to have some content of your own. Merely abusing people back doesn't counter anything.

Being a troll may be your occupation but it is far from the "life's work" of the liberal commenters here. We have lives. The complete absence of anything except malice in your comments makes them useless to anyone. It is like gang graffiti. Maybe it means something to you, but it is empty to anyone else. So it makes us wonder why you bother wasting your time here. Or why anyone would pay you to do it.

    18. My only complaint with Biden is he did not kill enough Russians. Other than that, pretty fucking good President. At least when he had a majority, he got a lot done for the people. Unlike the felon, who only passes bills to stuff more money in rich peoples pockets at the expense of middle class and poor. Finally getting what they asked for, 36% approval. Fucking idiots. Expect a couple wars cause you nimrods love u some pretend "WAR" presidents; then you claim that wasn't me! The stupid.

    20. Anonymouse 4:50pm, I’ve often wondered along the lines of what you said in your post. Why do anonymices react so vehemently to commenters they simultaneously cast as being worthless? What is that? We all know that you do the same with Bob, but he does have a unique voice. He is very perspicacious. The only answer I can come up with is that you’re tyrants and tyrants must always live in fear.

    21. Why read Digby? Today she has a story about something that happened in Pensacola FL:

"Charlie Hicks ate lunch and dinner at the same Shrimp Basket in Pensacola every day for 10 years.

When he suddenly stopped showing up, the chef noticed.

      Then he went looking.

      That decision saved Charlie’s life.

Sometimes community is not a slogan. It is someone paying attention."

As the story continues, the cook at the Shrimp Basket restaurant noticed that Hicks hadn't shown up, went to his home and found him on the floor, needing medical help. While Hicks was in the hospital, the restaurant staff found him an apartment, fixed it up and helped him move to it, right across the street from the restaurant. That way the 78 year old man could feel safe and make his daily visits more easily. The chef who found him and Hicks became friends.

This is what empathy is about. When a community has people who care for each other, everyone thrives. Government services are an extension of our community caring, the kind of glue that has enabled ancient hunter-gatherers to evolve into complex societies that create culture and allow a cohesive group to help when anyone is in need. Democrats value this. Republicans do not.

      Delete
    22. Anonymouse 5:26pm, actually the actions of regular people are valued by both Republicans and Democrats. The value of certain government programs are often debated and should be.

  18. Another Trump Peace Deal Goes Kablooey

"The two countries (Cambodia and Thailand) have been fighting since Monday. However, on Friday, Trump posted on Truth Social that they had agreed “to cease all shooting” and “go back to the original Peace Accord” he helped negotiate.

Thai Foreign Minister Sihasak Phuangketkeow said Trump’s statements didn’t “reflect an accurate understanding of the situation,” according to the AP."
