RACE: Our dead souls have been pimping this garbage...

THURSDAY, JUNE 25, 2026

...for a very long time: In our own view, Greg Gutfeld, 61 years old, is a person who needs some help.

We'd even say the fellow deserves some help, along with all members of struggling / suffering humanity.

We'd say the fellow needs some help because we watch his primetime imitation of a "cable news" program on the Fox News Channel. With apologies for posting his words again, we'd say a grubby little mutt like this could plainly use some help:

GUTFELD (6/23/26): In economic news, Nancy Pelosi's net worth is down $8 million.

Worse, her boobs are down nine inches.

PHOTO: [Pelosi in bathing suit]

Remarkable! When a 61-year-old fellow offers such jokes, we'd say he's badly in need of help, as are the corporate cretins who pay him $9 million per year to go on TV and behave like that.

(Blue America's stars refuse to discuss this behaviorRachel and Lawrence and all the rest. This is the nation-devouring garbage they too have apparently chosen.)

We'd say he could use some help. We'd also make that assessment based on Neal Gabler's report.

Gabler's report appeared in The Nationin October 2012! The squalor of an ailing person like Gutfeld has been with us for a long time:

What’s Behind the Right’s ‘Obama Is Gay’ Conspiracy

You probably know by now that President Obama is a Muslim who professes socialism and that he was born in Africa, which makes him ineligible to occupy our highest office. But here is something you may not know: Obama is gay. Not only is he gay; he frequented gay bath houses in Chicago along with his former chief of staff and current Chicago mayor, Rahm Emanuel. And not only did he frequent those bath houses; he was under the influence of a “transgender nanny” when he lived as a boy in Indonesia...

And on and on from there.

The sickness was already quite widespread as of 2012. Gabler's third paragraph went like this:

Citing a remark by Fox News host Greg Gutfeld that “Obama is now out of the closet” after the president announced his support for gay marriage, former George W. Bush speechwriter David Frum blogged at the Daily Beast, “You cannot ‘get’ Gutfeld’s joke unless you ‘get’ that a large part of his audience ardently believes that Obama is in fact gay, that his marriage is a sham, and that Mrs. Obama leads a life of Marie Antoinette–like extravagance to compensate for her husband’s neglect while he disports himself with his personal aides.”

In the minds of many under-developed souls, Barack Obama, the sitting American president, was already gay! On the brighter side:

Based on Frum's remarks about Gutfeld's "joke," it may be that Michelle Obama wasn't yet being scored as a man.

(As we noted yesterday, that second soul-draining theme may have started with Joan Rivers in 2014. At the very least, it got a wide airing there.)

Was Gutfeld just kiddingwas he just speaking metaphoricallywhen he made the quoted remark? If so, he's truly come a long way! Here he was, sharing his marvelous humor, on his primetime "cable news" show in April of last year:

GUTFELD (4/10/25): And finally, Michelle Obama openly admitted that she and Barack sleep in separate bedrooms.

Here's how it works. She sleeps downstairs, and he likes men.

The former president likes men! Surrounded by panels of defectivesknowing that no Blue American star will ever say boo about his behaviorthe creepy crawler sustains this messaging on a regular basis.

He messages millions of people each night. Along the way, a second bit of messaging had already been folded in, and his audience knew what it was:

GUTFELD (2/21/25): Divorce rumors continue to escalate for the Obamas.

Hopefully, they can settle it like men.

AUDIENCE: [Laughter, applause]

GUTFELD: Terrible! It's terrible that you would applaud that!

The studio audience knew what the termagant was saying. Hiding behind one of his several beards, the cowardly fellow pretended to scold them for applauding his pitiful slime.

In our view, this cable star could use some help, as could our failing nation. On our third most-watched "cable news" programhis ratings dwarf those of MS NOWthe creeper continues to toy with this bit of twinned messaging:

Barack Obama is secretly gay. Michelle Obama's a man.

This deeply strange man and his cast of defectives routinely traffic those messages, along with a long, extremely ugly list of other themes.

As a manifest nutcase, he can't stop talking about the way [NAME WITHHELD] likes to shove gerbils up his asp. He pictures Joe Biden in his grave. And several women, not Michelle Obama alone, are said to be secretly men.

Absent help, this seems to be the best this manifest nutcase can do. Suzanne Scott makes money off this. Rachel and Lawrence and David French all refuse to report and discuss it.

(Bret Stephens doesn't seem to watch Fox. Nicolle Wallace keeps her mouth shut too.)

Two Sundays ago, on June 14, a UFC fighter blurted it out, right there on the White House lawn. We'll guess that he doesn't know any better, but here's what he happily screamed:

"Michelle Obama is a man! Am I right, America?"

No, you can't get dumber than that. But waste meat like Gutfeld will try, enabled by willing panelists.

"Michelle Obama is a man," the hapless UFC fighter screamed. Perhaps because of the venue in question, Blue Americans finally complained.

On Monday evening, June 15, Senator Warnock went on The Last Word and said the conduct was racist.

"This is bigotry," the senator said. "This is evil come alive in the world."

Senator Warnock is a good, decent person. So is Maya Wiley.

On Tuesday, June 16, Wiley appeared on Deadline: White House. "Let me start by saying this," she told Nicolle Wallace. "This is racist."

"It's bigotry," she later said. "And it must be called out for that."

The moral and intellectual squalor in question has been underway for a long time. But is it clear that it's mainly racist? Is it clear that it's racist at all?

Is it clear that this squalor is based upon race? And is it possible that we Blues may be hurting Blue prospectsin this and perhaps in other circumstancesby insisting on that potent theme?

Something's happening here, Dylan famously said. Are we sure that we know what it is?

Tomorrow: At the tender age of 13, she was described as a dog

  1. He’s too busy making multiple millions of dollars serving the corporate interests of Fox and the GOP to worry about seeking help.

    1. Saying that Gutfeld needs help is no different than saying that Trump is mentally ill and needs help. Both are intended to excuse these right wing creeps for their bad behavior by portraying them as incapable of being good decent human beings.

If Trump has dementia, he needs to be removed from office ASAP because he is a danger to himself and others. Gutfeld is a different matter, because one must wonder why so many people watch his show if what he does is so obviously crackpot. Why does Somerby never blame Gutfeld's audience for their tolerance of his misbehavior? For that matter, why are Republicans not being held accountable for Trump's current crimes and misdemeanors? The biggest vandal of all has destroyed the Lincoln Reflecting Pool and he is still in office thinking up new ways to destroy other monuments. Why?

Meanwhile Somerby repeats a joke about Nancy Pelosi's boobs drooping (she is 86). Earth to Somerby, ALL women's boobs droop at that age, unless they have fake implants like the Mar a Lago denizens. Gutfeld's jokes are not ugly because it talks about droopy boobs, but because of Gutfeld's obvious hatred of Nancy Pelosi, his desire to hurt her. Somerby never mentions that, never speculates about whether gratuitous verbal attacks on out-of-office elderly politicians are OK or an indicator of something wrong with Republicans who laugh at such jokes.

Democrats used to ask why Republicans hate us so much. We don't do that any more because it is pretty obvious that Republicans carry around a lot of free-floating hatred that they enjoy being given permission to vent. They have become the party of hate. Given that circumstance, arguing about whether hating women is worse than hating blacks, or vice versa, makes no sense at all. The hate is the point.

    2. Was it worse for Hitler to kill Jews, Roma or gays? Somerby asks that question today by suggesting hatred of Michele can't be racist if she is hated for being a strong woman. Does Somerby never listen to himself? He has become a moron.

  2. “Is it clear that it's racist at all?”

Let us parse the statement into its subatomic constituents to conclude what? Calling a (black) woman who identifies as a woman a man is misogynist, not racist, and it’s, what?, much more acceptable for liberals to launch their “m” (misogyny) bombs than their “r” (racist) bombs? Even if racist attacks on the obamas are part of our national discourse and part of the current right wing meme-sphere, do right wingers get less offended being called misogynist than racist?

    1. I think you miss the point. If someone calls Michelle a “man,” that’s a sexist slur. If you call it a “racial” slur, you’ll be diverted into an irrelevant argument (“Is it really racist?”) that you’ll fight on unfavorable grounds.

    2. Is there any doubt that the fucking droidhead is a racist bastard?

    3. If you call a black person lazy, does that slur become non-racist simply by claiming you are discussing their energy level? Of course not. What makes slurs racist is bundling up a bunch of them and applying them to black people as a stereotype, singling out black people for negative attention by focusing criticism on them over things that are the same in white people.

The stupidity of these attacks on the Obamas, who are no longer in politics and did a good job when they were politicians, is what makes these attacks racist, not their content.

So, arguing over whether a remark is misogynist or racist is stupid, because the remarks are both. What makes these things racist is: (1) the untruth of the remarks, (2) the gratuitous targeting of someone who is irrelevant to politics, (3) the hate exhibited by the speaker, (4) the diminishment of a black person by applying negatives to them on the basis of race not their own attributes or behavior.

Somerby's attempts to portray this targeting of the Obamas as not racist is itself racist.

The Obamas are not harmed by these insults. They have their many accomplishments to contradict the idiocies being aimed at them. They don't care if anyone thinks Michelle is a man or Obama is gay. Who does care? The black community in general, because people see that blatant racism and falsehoods can be spoken about even eminent black people with impunity, without repercussions, tolerated by our society and allowed to stand by those who should object. That assault on all black people, the reminder that bigots can behave badly at will, that is the harm being done to all black people, but especially those who admire the Obamas and those with hopes of joining the mainstream and being taken seriously. Black kids seeking role models are harmed. You would think that Somerby would understand that. Instead, he argues that there was no foul involved.

Blue America always objects to this stuff. Somerby identifies some arbitrary member of what he calls the Blue press, and then claims they don't object enough. Is he trying to portray blues as hypocrites, or is he saying it is OK to slime the Obamas because Blues are tolerating it (by not objecting loudly enough) or is he saying racism is over because blues don't care and are just being performance when we object?

Hard to know what Somerby's point is, except that he is attacking Blue America again, attacking the idea that racism and sexism should be opposed, and repeating Gutfeld's mud slinging again.

    4. Here are some of the racist caricatures aimed at Michelle Obama:

      https://jimcrowmuseum.ferris.edu/antiblack/sapphire.htm

Be sure to read the whole section about how Michele Obama is being portrayed and how that relates to stereotypical images of black women in African American history. Calling her a man instead of an angry mannish woman is a short step and incorporates all of the aspects of the Sapphire image.

Arguing about whether it is misogynistic to insult a black woman is a distraction when the point of both racism and sexism is to cut that woman down to size and show dominance, in this case by white men.

Meanwhile, there is a topic within feminist writing and philosophy that deals with intersectionality. That refers to the interaction and overlap between different traits of a person and contextual elements of their lives, including not just gender and race but also religion, economic and social class, ethnicity and national origin, and so on. Race, class, and sexism exist together and interact, so that a white upper woman may experience sexism and gender identity differently than a poor black woman, differently than a rich black woman, differently than a black woman with high social status, such as Oprah for example. Race and sex or gender are not experienced independently and do not occur distinct from each other for any of us.

      AI says:

"Intersectionality is a framework explaining how overlapping social identities—particularly race and gender—interact to create unique, compounded experiences of discrimination or privilege. Coined by scholar Kimberlé Crenshaw, it shows that the struggles of marginalized groups cannot be fully understood by looking at a single identity in isolation."

    5. DG, the right hates Michele because she is black AND because she violates gender norms as a woman AND because she is a Democrat married to a black president who served two terms in office and is still considered an excellent president AND because Trump supporters willingly hate whoever Trump hates.

    6. And presto! An irrelevant argument about racism distracting from the clear sexism of the slur. And that’s just among us Blues.

  3. “Obama is gay” is homophobic, because it is meant as mockery; “that’s so gay” said six year olds a few years ago. It’s bigoted, because merely calling someone gay is meant to demean them.

    1. Moreover, Schiltz linked the subpoenas to what he called “the Trump administration’s well-established history of using criminal investigations to retaliate against and pressure the President’s political and personal adversaries.” Schiltz pointed to the recent investigation of Federal Reserve Chair Jay Powell, in which another federal judge similarly quashed subpoenas on the grounds that they were retaliatory.

The Justice Department did not immediately respond to a request for comment. Walz celebrated the decision as “a victory for the rule of law and our democracy.”

Keep in mind, when the fucking media refers to trump's fucking DOJ, the fucking media really is referring to trump's fucking lawyer.
