THE TRIBE IN THE MIRROR: Postponed for one day!

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 6, 2016

It gets depressing to look:
We said we'd be looking at the tribe in the mirror every day this week.

Given the small minor flaws of the tribe in question, it does get depressing to look.

Why don't you look at the tribe in the mirror? Why does it have to be us?

Tomorrow, in a Herculean effort, we'll force ourselves to proceed with our task. For today, it's on to other tasks.

Tribe watch: To peruse three letters from our tribe, you can just click here.

At issue—the front-page report in the New York Times about the states Candidate Sanders lost and the reasons why he lost them. To read that report, click here.

  1. When I look in the mirror and see someone like Bernie Sanders and his supporters reflected as Democrats, I feel like I am in the wrong party. But I am nowhere close to being a Republican. That leads me to believe that Bernie and the Bernie Bros are not Democrats. Then I find myself wondering why they are behaving as spoilers and undermining the interests of Democratic candidates in the upcoming general election.

Bernie is doing nothing whatsoever to held downticket candidates. He is attacking Hillary using the same arguments as the conservatives. He is draining resources needed to defeat Trump or Cruz, and he is generating bitterness that will be harder to overcome to achieve party unity in the Fall (something he cares nothing about).

This strikes me as the election of the deluded, vanity campaign. Trump on the right, Bernie on the left. Neither can win and neither should win, for similar reasons. I am as depressed about this as Somerby but I'm not sure that his reasons for being upset are the same as mine.

At this point, I just want it to be over.

    1. You are a whiny wuss. We don't need your ilk in a real party.

    2. Bernie doesn't have a party.

For the Jackass party that calls itself Democratic, the Super Delegate trick bag that works exclusively for HRC, the DNC establishment choice, is anything but representative of a true democratic system.

Bernie is in no way holding HRC's feet to the fire. He abdicated that when he said he couldn't care less about those darn emails. Bernie illustrates how weak a candidate HRC is. No where in your post to you make a case for why you support HRC and why she should be beyond reproach. Blindly defending HRC is the bailiwick of David Brock, Paul Begala, Brad Woodhouse, Brian Fallon and the rest of the assorted filberts.

    1. Sorry, to be the one to say it, but cicero is right -- in part.

In contrast, 10:39 is utterly -- entirely -- deluded and full of shit.

--Sanders "is attacking Hillary using the same arguments as the conservatives."

--Sanders said he "couldn't care less about those darn emails."

One of these statements is simply true. The other is the product of delusional thinking.

{Note though, that this particular contradiction of 10:39 -- a true Clinton believer, one whose appearance we can count on any time Sanders is mentioned here -- is but one of many, many possible contradictions one might mention.)

10:39 re-appears below as 12:26, with the gall to pretend to be well-informed! "Bernie says," "Bernie says." Did Sanders say these things? No. Please go sow your shitseed elsewhere, love.

    2. Denying that Sanders said what he is reported to have said by today's media is a lame defense.

As The Daily Show pointed out -- Bernie saying he isn't going to attack HRC on her emails allows anyone to go to google and find HRC + email and read all about it, while appearing virtuous. In the meantime, every eager BernieBro is spreading that garbage all over the comment sections of every blog and website in the liberal blogosphere.

When Clinton people show greater restraint, we get articles about how Hillary's supporters aren't as enthusiastic and people wondering why her folks don't speak up for her.

I do it here and my words are called "shitseed" and my beliefs "delusional thinking."

Sanders may not use Benghazi or the emails but he is spreading lies about who Clinton's donations come from, her vote on the Iraq war, her speeches, and so on that come directly from right-wing websites. Even the conspiracy theories are the same.

Conservatives are doing whatever they can to help Sanders be nominated. Cicero has been working overtime. That should tell any thinking person what they need to know about who conservatives think would be more electable and less supportive of their political interests. HINT: It isn't Bernie.

Is it your contention that HRC supporters have no knowledge of HRC's private server transgressions or her lying to families of the Americans killed in Benghazi until they heard Bernie refer to them in a benign way? Are you saying MSNBC, CNN, WaPo, The NYT and other liberal media outlets have not covered this at all?

The truth is HRC supporters couldn't care less about her perfidy. Just like Trump supporters, they stand by their candidate without reservation.

How is Bernie lying about HRC's affirmative vote on the Iraq War?

What are these conspiracy theories you speak of?

Bernie is never going to get the nomination. I have made that clear by pointing out HRC's command of the Democratic Party Super Delegates.

  4. Why are the criticisms coming from Sanders' people the same as those coming from conservatives like Cicero? Bernie's people are complaining about the super delegates too.

On the one hand they complain that the super delegates are undermining the electoral process in which the people decide. Never mind that the caucuses in which Sanders dominates are similarly undemocratic compared to voting primaries. Then Bernie turns around and says that despite being spurned by actual voters he will try to flip the super delegates so that he will be the nominee without winning the majority of the delegates in the state primaries. That is majorly undemocratic in spirit. Bernie keeps claiming that the super delegates are pledged to HRC because the fix is in. The super delegates claim that they will support whoever wins in the primary process. Even Bill Clinton has stated that. So this is another dishonest attack on HRC in which Sanders tries to imply corruption and ignores facts. His followers and too "low information" to see through this.

I think the Bernie people are upset that the Hillary people (and the press) are using the super delegates to claim that Bernie can't win. If the Hillary people would stay focused on winning non-super delegates, I think this issue would fade.

Did Bill say that rock-paper-scissors type allocation of wins and a corrupt party chair propelling his wife's candidacy is also "majorly undemocratic in spirit"?

"In at least six Iowa precincts, a coin flip determined which candidate won, The Washington Post reports. Hillary Clinton won all six reported coin flips – a one in 64 chance."

"The state Democratic Party chair who refuses to release raw vote totals from Monday’s razor-thin Iowa caucuses is a longtime Hillary Clinton supporter who even drives a car that officially displays her support for the presidential candidate.

Dr. Andrea “Andy” McGuire served as co-chairwoman of Clinton’s 2008 campaign in Iowa, and the Des Moines Register reported the license plate on her Buick Enclave reads: “HRC 2016.”"

    3. Dave, the Hillary people are focused on winning primaries, not super delegates. It is Bernie who is now saying he will pressure the super delegates to change their allegiance if he doesn't win enough primary delegates. It is his only "path" to the nomination since he cannot legitimately win enough delegates from actual voters. He is not strong enough in any of the remaining states to pull that off, so he is trying to cheat in the same way as he has been accusing HRC of cheating (which she demonstrably has not done).

    4. cicero -- the states "won" by coin toss are not winner-take-all states. The delegates were assigned proportionally. That's why HRC keeps pulling ahead of Sanders despite not winning in states like Iowa and now Wisconsin.

  5. My life became devastated when my husband sent me packing, after 8 years that we have been together. I was lost and helpless after trying so many ways to make my husband take me back. One day at work, i was absent minded not knowing that my boss was calling me, so he sat and asked me what its was all about i told him and he smiled and said that it was not a problem. I never understand what he meant by it wasn't a problem getting my husband back, he said he used a spell to get his wife back when she left him for another man and now they are together till date and at first i was shocked hearing such thing from my boss. He gave me an email address of the great spell caster who helped him get his wife back, i never believed this would work but i had no choice that to get in contact with the spell caster which i did, and he requested for my information and that of my husband to enable him cast the spell and i sent him the details, but after two days, my mom called me that my husband came pleading that he wants me back, i never believed it because it was just like a dream and i had to rush down to my mothers place and to my greatest surprise, my husband was kneeling before me pleading for forgiveness that he wants me and the kid back home, then i gave Happy a call regarding sudden change of my husband and he made it clear to me that my husband will love me till the end of the world, that he will never leave my sight. Now me and my husband is back together again and has started doing pleasant things he hasn't done before, he makes me happy and do what he is suppose to do as a man without nagging.
