Different parts of the empire strike back: Major parts of the Murdoch empire continue to fight the commander.
Good grief! The New York Post continued to school him about Vladimir Putin right on today's front page.
You can see the front page by clicking this. Over a photo of Vladimir Putin, the text on the page says this:
PRESIDENT TRUMP:
THIS IS A DICTATOR
That's some cold-blooded stuff! Also, Brian Kilmeade interviewed the commander this morning on his Fox News Radio show —and he too was pushing back hard!
The commander kept refusing to answer Kilmeade's questions about who is responsible for the war in Ukraine. You can read the text of Kilmeade's questions, and of the commander's evasions, by clicking to this report at Mediaite:
‘That’s Vladimir Putin’s Fault, Don’t You Agree?’ Fox News’ Brian Kilmeade Repeatedly Challenges Trump During Anti-Ukraine Rant
On his Fox News Radio show, Kilmeade was pushing back hard. That said:
To our ear, Kilmeade had taken a wholly different approach three hours earlier on Fox & Friends, where he serves as co-host. It seems to us that the Fox News Channel may be holding the line in favor of the commander. Here's how the morning went:
As best we can tell, the name "Putin" was never mentioned during the Fox & Friends 6 o'clock hour.
During the 7 o'clock hour, the friends began playing a short, evasive bit of videotape about Ukraine featuring National Security Adviser Mike Waltz.
Midway through that hour, there came the moment of truth. It seemed to be a different Brian Kilmeade who meekly submitted to a Trump-friendly presentation by General Jack Keane regarding Putin and Ukraine. He pushed very hard on his radio show, said nothing on Fox & Friends.
To watch the full Fox & Friends report in question, you can click here, then move to the 19-minute mark. Our question:
Is Kilmeade allowed to let it hang out on his eponymous Fox News Radio show, but not on the Fox News Channel?
We see no sign that Putin was mentioned during the Fox & Friends 8 o'clock hour.
Some parts of the empire are striking back hard. This morning, in one other part of the polity, it almost seemed that spotless minds were being allowed to endure.
Zelenskyy is a dictator.
ReplyDeleteYou're just a dick.
DeleteNo, he has a point, Zelensky is a dictator…of the Kursk region; he was not elected there, he just overpowered Russia and took it.
DeleteApparently, as it turns out, Russia is a paper tiger, as it slowly becomes a vassal state to China, it’s proving to be one of the weakest military forces in the world as well as economically collapsing.
Incontrovertible facts:
ReplyDelete* Ukraine can’t continue the war without western financing.
* Even if Ukraine continued the war, it can’t possibly win.
* Ukrainians continue to get slaughtered because they are being forced to fight a war they can’t win.
* Hundreds of thousands of men have fled and draft agents are getting killed.
* Parts of Ukraine should have been part of Russia from the beginning. They are mostly Russian speaking, have expressed their preference for Russia, and have been persecuted in the past by Ukrainian militias.
* Russia has the right to resist NATO expansion as a clear and imminent threat, especially at its own borders.
*At this point, Zelenskyy is grasping for the last grift he can squeeze out. Then he hopes to get another Vogue cover shoot maybe standing on the dead bodies of the million pitiful Ukrainian soldiers he sent to death.
I don't think this word, incontrovertible, means what you think it means.
DeleteNorth Korean mercenaries had enough of putin's bullshit. They want out of there. Where is the dictator going to go next for his cannon fodder?
DeleteNot to Ukraine. They're out of men, old and young.
DeleteIt’s always nice to hear Putin’s side of things. Other than from Trump, we get to hear it here at little ol’ TDH.
DeleteI mostly agree with 4:51. I don’t agree that parts of Ukraine should have been Russia. I do not agree that the possibility of NATO justified Putin’s invasion of Ukraine. But, these hardly matter. Justified or not, Russia is winning the war. Ukraine’s loss is inevitable.
DeleteNot inevitable unless Trump makes it so.
DeleteIt's so fucking inevitable that Vlad had to import North Korean mercenaries to do his fighting, who are now quitting on the bastard war criminal. Something stinks in Denmark, Dickhead.
Delete"Russia has the right to resist NATO expansion as a clear and imminent threat, especially at its own borders."
DeleteRight. How many countries has NATO invaded?
Libya, Iraq, Afghanistan.
DeleteWhen you talk about NATO like that, you reveal your ignorance. Putin did not invade over NATO, he invaded to prevent Ukraine from joining the EU. Geopolitics 101.
DeleteWhy should anyone care about Kilmeade?
ReplyDeleteIt’s been a couple hours, and nobody has thought of a reason to care about Kilmeade.
DeleteTrump could shoot Kilmeade dead on 5th Avenue, no one would care, not even Hegseth’s mom.
DeleteHere is what JD Vance said at CPAC. And here is Jeff Tiedrich's response to it. And no, Tiedrich isn't a girl.
ReplyDelete"“our culture sends a message to young men that you should suppress every masculine urge. you should try to cast aside your family, you should try to suppress what makes you a young man in the first place. and I think that my message to young men is, don’t allow this broken culture to send you a message that you’re a bad person because you’re a man, because you like to tell a joke, because you like to have a beer with your friends.”
what in the holy name of Toxic Masculinity Jesus is this dangerous twaddle?
guys, can we talk? ‘our culture’ isn’t telling you that you can’t have a beer. where did this imaginary grievance come from? is this about Piss-Drunk Pete? all we’re saying is don’t be an asshole. being an asshole is not a male urge. being an asshole is an asshole urge.
calling someone a retard is an asshole urge. there are over a million words in the English language. find a different one. it’s not that hard, fucknozzle. see? I just did it.
don’t be an asshole, that’s all we’re asking of you assholes. let other people live out their lives in peace and quiet."
Too much to ask, apparently.
Being an asshole is a male urge. It starts age 12. You must be a woman.
DeleteMen used to care about honor, integrity, character, moral strength, self-sacrifice, and yes courage. None of that goes with being an asshole. You must be 12.
DeleteI’m 82.
DeleteThen this shouldn’t be news to you.
DeleteI don't think this retard Tiedrich understands Vance's argument. Vance isn't arguing culture is telling men that they can’t have a beer.
DeleteWhat is Vance arguing?
Delete@7:52 I managed all of those and being an occasional asshole. I don’t know what to tell you.
DeleteThat he believes cultural pressures lead some young men to feelings of guilt over traditional masculine behaviors.
DeleteBeing an asshole is not traditional male behavior. Assholes come in both genders. Using masculinity to excuse assholery is a bad idea.
DeleteVance isn't arguing masculinity is an excuse for assholery. You're repeating another misinterpretation Tiedrich made. Where did you find this retard? He's arguing against claims Vance didn’t make. Are you OK?
DeleteNo one objects to jokes or beers.
DeleteOne thing about the arguments Vance and Tiedrich are making is that, politically speaking, one is making a very shrewd and savvy argument, while the other is making a very foolish and short-sighted one.
DeleteNothing savvy about pretending anyone complains about a drnk or a joke. Vance is lying.
DeleteYou are certainly entitled to dismiss Vance's comments on those grounds if you think that is a good idea.
DeleteI already did.
DeleteI object to Vance.
DeleteI do too. That's why I hate to see true retards like Tiedrich misunderstand and misrepresent what he says in a way that benefits him and puts
Deleteliberals deeper in the hole they put themselves in.
DeleteVance is a liar but not because he’s male, because he’s an asshole. Liberals who complain about the lying are not trying yo castrate him. We think a VP should tell the truth and not be an asshole.
DeleteCastrating him would be genital mutilation.
DeleteCastrate Vance? Sure, you and what microscope?
DeleteDavid in Cal asked what federally funded research has done for us, besides the covid vaccine. I thought this finding was interesting:
ReplyDelete"In 1913, according to the National Safety Council, 33.38 people died for every 10,000 vehicles on the road. In 2020, the death rate was 1.53 per 10,000 vehicles, a 95% improvement. In 1937, there were 30.8 deaths per 100,000 people in the United States. The current rate is 12.9 per 100,000—a 58% improvement.
A host of government actions, including seat belt laws, stricter drunk driving measures and requirements for more crash-resistant vehicles, are largely responsible for the improvement, which continued well into the 21st century.
In October 2020, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration reported that traffic deaths had once again decreased from 2018 to 2019, from 36,835 fatalities to 36,096. The 2% drop came despite the fact that vehicle miles traveled were on the rise. "
I recall two of the innovations arising from the studies. One was that having a stop light at eye level (along the bottom of the back window at the top of the trunk) substantially decreases rear-ending accidents. That came from a study of taxi-cab accidents. Another finding was that if you put up a sign telling people how long it will take to get to a key intersection or off-ramp in dense traffic, it greatly reduces driver stress and tail-gating by giving drivers more control over their journey (if only in the form of knowledge about how long it will take to arrive). This has been implemented in many larger cities and results in less road rage, less frustration, and fewer accidents. A more peaceful commute helps reduce stress-related negative health effects (i.e., high blood pressure). That one came from a colleague at a university where I worked. Highways don't just build themselves, but planning goes into trying to figure out how to reduce congestion and driver safety.
Car manufacturers do not develop all of the safety improvements. In fact, they tend to resist them when there is extra cost involved. The govt identifies the ones that work and then mandates them so that no one manufacturer is hurt financially by making cars safer for people. This practice, occurring in other fields too, may be mistaken for govt interference but the results are striking and benefit everyone on the roads.
DeleteDIC questions the practical utility of government funded research. The Chinese aren’t asking that question. I can’t think of another statement that better illustrates the ignorance of MAGAs.
DeleteTo believe corporations are more efficient and better serve the interests of society than government is to admit you are a moron.
DeleteMSNBC sure managed to keep this off the radar. Looks like the New York Post reporting was about it.

DeleteDOGE Update
ReplyDelete"Neither he (Musk) nor Trump, who repeated the claim, appear to understand that while there are millions of people still in the SS database because their deaths were never recorded, these people do not receive checks.
Simply checking a list of Social Security check recipients would have cleared up the entire issue. Yet Musk was either too dumb or too lazy to do so. Or, perhaps more likely, he just didn’t care if it was true or not because it served his purposes."

Zelenskyy surrendered to Trump and will be signing a mineral deal.
ReplyDeleteNot what the news says
DeleteThe Trump administration appeared to be making progress on Friday toward a deal that would give the United States valuable mineral rights in Ukraine.
DeleteThe movement came after a week in which President Trump, initially rebuffed on an agreement, turned up the pressure by assailing Ukraine and suggesting he would side with Russia in seeking to end the war there.
Mr. Trump boasted at the White House that he was nearing a deal that could bring up to $500 billion to the United States. “So we’re signing an agreement, hopefully in the next fairly short period of time,” he said.
President Volodymyr Zelensky of Ukraine likewise said his country was working on a draft agreement between the two governments, seemingly tamping down the tensions that had flared with Mr. Trump over a deal.
Art of the Deal
DeleteTrump threatened to shut off access to Starlink. How is that ok?
DeleteIt belongs to Elon.
DeleteNo there is no mineral rights deal. Fake news.
Delete1:33 Try to keep up.
DeleteTrump just fired the Joint Chiefs chairman for being black.
ReplyDeleteHegseth fired the Navy’s top officer for being female.
DeleteHow is this legal?
DeleteIt’s legal because @9:40 and @9:42 are not correct. Trump did fire them, but not because of race or sex.
DeleteNonsense
Delete10:32 Correct. Trump fired them because he is an angry demented old man, not because he is coincidentally racist and sexist.
DeleteTrump hates Black people.
DeleteNBC Universal has agreed to pay $30m to settle a defamation lawsuit after its MSNBC talent lied and said a Georgia doctor was performing Mengele-style “mass hysterectomies” at an ICE facility during the first Trump administration.
ReplyDeleteChris Hayes, Rachel Maddow, and Nicole Wallace spread the lies. Many of MSNBC’s “news” talent have shared serial lies, hoaxes and conspiracy theories.
At best 11:44 is misleading.
DeleteNBC has agreed to settle, the amount is unknown.
The doctor was found by a congressional investigation to have performed a variety of medically unnecessary procedures, but they were not technically hysterectomies.
Furthermore, this corrupt doctor had previously settled a lawsuit concerning his history of engaging in Medicare fraud.
We're apparently North Korea now:
ReplyDelete"The Department of Homeland Security has budgeted up to $200 million to run anti-immigrant ads in the United States and overseas that repeatedly thank President Donald Trump for leading an immigration crackdown. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem said Friday night that these ads were Trump’s idea, and during the administration’s transition to power, the president asked her to star in ads thanking him 'for closing the border.'”
Sorry, I do not believe this. I would believe that they're running anti-illegal-immigrant ads.
DeleteMy wife is one of the producers working on these ads, the ads are as described, fealty propaganda to stroke Trump’s ego.
DeleteBut but but, DiC does not believe it. Doesn’t that count for something?
Delete
